MINNEAPOLIS -- Minnesota guard Sam Cassell left the Timberwolves' game against Phoenix on Wednesday night because of a bruised right shoulder.
Cassell started and played 10 minutes, scoring two points and adding four assists for the Timberwolves. Troy Hudson replaced him in the lineup to start the second half.
After having hip surgery last summer to fix an ailment that also led to lower-back problems, Cassell missed 10 games last month because of a strained right hamstring.
