Can't beat 'Saving Private Ryan' but I thought the beginning of 'Old School' was downright hilarious. I'm sure there's a lot better ones I can't think of. Maybe 'Pulp Fiction' would be considered.

Am I the only one who sees through these type of threads? From the moment I read the thread title I new that it was just gonna be a bunch of posts with everyones OWN favorite opening scene regardless of what was in the original post. Everyone wants everyone else to recognize their favorite yet most posts have an entirely different video.

People share opinions by offering different ideas about (in this case) what a good opening scene is. Sometimes they do that by stating it. Sometimes, especially if a video is available, this is done by example. It's called a discussion. You should read about it sometime.

What discussion? So far about 90% of the posts have just been new suggestions. I didn't say I was immune to this. I would have to go with the opening scene from Patton...see
