I noticed Kori didn't say anything when I played three Nirvana songs in a row.

Interesting.

timvp listens to hip hop like 90% of his waking hours. So this selection of Metallica, Nirvana and other stuff that's going on right now is quite funny.

The 15 minute long tracks from the 80s are classic.

I saw them at Bonnaroo and the lead signer said this exact phase after every single song in his rock star voice he has:

"Fuck yeeeeahh Bonnaroooooooo"

Nothing wrong with broadening ones musical tastes. Now if timvp starts to listen to musicals THEN you should worry....

Metallica was the shit back in the day. Lars and his Napster hard on kinda turned me away from the band, but I still listen to them here and there.

If they've got a new one dropping, I may check it out. And it will be interesting if they're going back to their older heavy and grittier style. I had no problem like alot of Metallica fans did when they went more melodic w/ Justice and the Black albums ... but I do miss the old sounds of Lightning and Kill em All.

If Metallica has a shred of songwriting and performance ability left, Rick Rubin will find it. If they can't make a good album with him at the helm, they're done.

Ride the Lightning and Master of Puppets are both better than Kill'Em All. Seek and Destroy does rock though.
