Sem ser convocado para a seleção, Marquinhos viajou domingo para os Estados Unidos. O ala está fazendo testes em equipes da NBA. Nesta semana, Marquinhos está no San Antonio Spurs. He was in San Antonio in the beggining of the month. I think it was more for the summer league team so I think it didn't work out.

Anyway, he is a free agent now, was traded to the Grizzlies last season and waived.

Good shooter, not much else to get excited about.

No, he is unrestricted. He has been traded and waived just before the deadline.

Did he ever play at a high level?
in 04-05 he played in Italy's second division
not sure about 05-06?
then he was drafted in 06 and then sat the bench

He doesn't have NBA level.

I think it was a work out just for Summer League. He played 2 seasons with the Hornets and did nothing.

I'd rather see the Spurs develop Malik or Gist

Ele não é muito bom Grande; foi cortado do pré-olimpico

He played over in Europe for a while and then went back to Brazil and played in the national league there. The season before the draft he actually was not in any league and simply was "working out" in preparation for the draft. The Hornets were supposedly interested in him in the first round that year but took him at 43 instead. He slipped in the draft because he wanted to come straight over to the NBA while most teams preferred to do the stash away method.

He then proceeded to sit on the bench for the Hornets.
