Jerryd Bayless with 28 points tonight in his summer league debut. 18 for 21 from the line! :wow

Zero assists only because there's a bunch of stiffs playing on the front line. Bayless was more impressive than Greene. He actually played against NBA caliber competition in Nick Young and Dee Brown.

Not to mention that Bayless didn't play PG. Kopponen played the point. The team had only 4 assists for the game anyway.

That's terrible for the entire team.
Bayless and Koponen should be ashamed of themselves. They should've known they should've been distributing rather than scoring.

i agree phx's team was not good (what team is good? it's summer league.) but greene did lead the rockets back from like an 18 point deficit and created the go ahead basket with 7 seconds on a dish to leunen. greene did not look like he belonged out there with those guys.

lol @ dee brown being nba caliber :lol

Dee Brown played in the NBA so I think that qualifies.

And don't get me wrong...Donte Greene looked very good. Of course I'm biased, but I liked Bayless' performance better.

No.

Dee Brown is NBA caliber like Darius Rice or Linton Johnson or Richie Frahm are NBA caliber.

I'm getting sick of these threads. Something needs to happen to kill Portland's chances this year. I'm on it.

You really shouldn't ever bet against a guard from Arizona. He's a project at PG, but with Roy having the skills he has, Bayless will be able to contribute as a scoring PG while he develops his passing skills.

Bayless played point throughout high school, until his senior year, and played point at times last season at Arizona. He's more than capable, but he needs structure and time.

I loved his acquisition by the Blazers and he's one of the reasons I'm now pulling for them!!!
