Brazilian forward Ronaldinho was transferred to AC Milan late Tuesday, ending a five-year tenure with FC Barcelona.

Ronaldinho, 28, will have a physical Wednesday and sign a contract through June 30, 2011.

Milan agreed to pay $33.4 million US for the two-time FIFA player of the year, plus $6.3 million US if it clinches a place in next season's Champions League.

Ronaldinho scored 91 goals in 200 matches with the Catalans, helping the Spanish powerhouse win back-to-back La Liga titles in 2005 and 2006, and the Champions League trophy in 2006.

Foot, knee and thigh injuries limited him to just nine goals in 26 matches last season, and questions about his attitude and social habits prompted new coach Pep Guardiola to question his worth to the squad.

"If he can get back to being the player he was, perhaps we could have a rethink," Guardiola told reporters last month. "But circumstances are not what they are. I want a strong dressing room in which everyone feels important.

"That is vital. If we don't look after these aspects, we will be less strong and, if Ronnie felt this, he would be with us."

Ronaldinho, whose real name is Ronaldo de Assis Moreira, signed a five-year, $33.4-million US deal with Barcelona on July 19, 2003.

At Milan, Ronaldinho will be reunited with fellow Brazilians Kaka and Alexandre Pato

I can't believe Manchester City thought they were going to get him.

:lol Even 51 millon dollars (US) couldn't get them to bite. They're better off spending that kind of change of more quality players.

Milan might be getting Adebayor too, they'll be formidable. While my team Arsenal slowly turns into shit, since they're losing Hleb too and they're against spending money.

Arsenal really pushes that developing their own talent a bit much, eh?

At least your not dealing with Ronaldo. I f-cking hate that guy so much now. Be done with him …take the money and focus on Berbatov

Yeah, Ronaldo's acting like a little bitch. Man U should just cash in, they could get 2 world class players if they choose to with that money. But part of me wants Man U to just tell Ronaldo to STFU and see out his contract.

I agree completely.

I am a pretty big ManU fan but after that stupid slavery comment I am 100% done with him.Its time to move on and replace him. Like you said…they could easily get two world class players in return not to mention a prospect or two from Madrid.

This is great news for AC Milan and Serie A. Too bad they won't play in the Champions League this year, but their main goal should be winning the scudetto and hopefully the UEFA Cup. Flamini, Zambrotta, and Ronaldinho are an excellent addition to an already star-filled team.

Milan is my 2nd favourite team, but god damnit they're sucking my favourite team dry! :lol

Especially if they get Adebayor and Hleb, they should challenge Inter and Roma and Juve. One player I'm not too high on is Zambrotta, I feel he's overrated. He tends to make dumbass decisions defensively that usually result in goals conceeded.

Alex Hleb leaves Arsenal to join Barcelona

Arsenal can confirm that Alexander Hleb has signed for Barcelona for an undisclosed fee.

Hleb (27) signed for Arsenal from German side VfB Stuttgart in June 2005 and made a total of 129 appearances during his time with the Club, scoring 11 goals. Last season, the Belarusian international was a regular in the team, making 42 first team appearances in all competitions.

Hleb became the first Belarusian to appear in a UEFA Champions League Final when the Club played Barcelona in the 2006 Paris final. Alex was also voted Belarusian footballer of the year in 2002, 2004, 2005 and 2006, as well as Belarusian Sportsman of the Year in 2002.

On Hleb’s departure, Arsène Wenger said: “We must firstly thank Alex for his contribution towards Arsenal Football Club during his time with us. Alex played a significant role in the three seasons he was with the Club. We are comfortable with our decision to let him go and we are all looking forward to continuing our preparations for the new season ahead.”

Everyone at Arsenal Football Club wishes Alex the best of luck for the future.

Arsenal is like the farm system for world football. Develop young players into stars and let them get away after two years.

Next on the list: Fabregas.

I agree with you fellow Milan fan :spin

We have to win the Scudetto and why not add a UEFA Cup to the trophy case. I want to also see Boriello explode this year.
