Spurs NBA Championship DVDs

I think there was thread awhile back about Spurs DVDs. I recently bought their championship DVDs from 2004-05 and 2006-07 season. I watched the first one last night. It was quite good.....I enjoyed watching the replay of the 4th quarter and they showed the on-court celebration and presentation of the trophy. I'm an admitted Manu lover so I'm biased but he was sooooooo cute celebrating being an NBA champion. Michelle Tofoya was interviewing him and mentioned winning the gold medal, his recent marriage, now he's a word champion....he was so happy and excited. He responded you trying to make me cry or something to that effect. I bought the 04-05 one from Circuit City ($7) and the recent one at a videostore near my job.

I rented the 2002-03 one from Netflix and that one had loads of good extras.

I think the best DVD was 03 because it had the "Clinching 4th Quarters" feature in the Bonus menu. It's always fun to see what Kerr did to Dallas, followed by some prepubescent Mavs fan yelling "You're a punk Malik, you're a punk!" I think the second best one was 05 because the story of the whole season and playoffs was unbelievable (and the fact that they included the 4th quarter of game 7)

There are DVD's from the '03, '05, and '07 Titles. The only thing I've found for '99 is VHS. Then there's the box set of DVD's that has the 16 wins from the 4 Titles. They're all good imo.

Just a side note...

Duncan has a segment on an NBA DVD called "The Foundation: NBA Superstars On And Off The Court".
It also features Tracy McGrady, Keven Garnett, Vince Carter, Allen Iverson, Steve Francis, Jermaine O'Neal, Ben Wallace, and Yao Ming.
It has the complete 2004 All Star game and the Rookie Challenge as well.

There are DVD's from the '03, '05, and '07 Titles. The only thing I've found for '99 is VHS. Then there's the box set of DVD's that has the 16 wins from the 4 Titles. They're all good imo.

Amazon has the box set....it's selling for about $75...used copies are less. I did see the box set at the place I bought the '07 DVD. It was used copy for $63.

I got mine from Amazon. I think that's what I paid. And if I remember right it had free shipping. It's worth it. I tape every game and I still watch the DVD's.

You are right on that 1999 championship video, it is only in vhs. I think the best one ever made is the 2003 dvd. It has a whle lot of special features, I especially like the 4th quarters parts!!! They are awesome seeing them whip the shit out of everyone. And I really liked seeing all of the Lakers cry like little bitches when they lost!!! They will be doing that next year too when we knock them out of the playoffs!!!:flag::lobt2:

Does the DVD have any special features? I have 03, 05 and 07 on DVD but just the VHS of the 99 title (which I captured and made a DVD of). If the official 99 DVD has any special features like replaying 4th quarters, I would buy it...

Yeah, the '03 one is very good...I like all the 4th quarter parts as well. I never realized that Malik Rose, Speedy Claxton and Stephen Jackson were Spurs at one time. Also, was that Manu's rookie year? He looked so young. And I didn't realize that Manu won 3 championship rings...I thought he was only on the 05 and 07 championship teams.

I wish they did the same for the 05 and 07 DVD.

BTW, the Spurs-Piston Finals was one of the lowest rated in NBA history????!! Some call it dull; I found it exciting.....that was good basketball in my opinion considering the game closers we've witnessed the last two championships.....two great defensive teams.....that game 7 was tense the last minutes....Spurs couldn't put the Pistons away....it could've gone either way.
