may she rest in peace, but clearly one of the top 10 worst shows ever.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

Estelle Getty (http://us.lrd.yahoo.com/_ylt=AiCY1jSLPmYAJaDT7lGJyfG.o9EF/SIG=11b1bs9qt/**http%3A//tv.yahoo.com/contributor/435556), the diminutive actress who spent 40 years struggling for success before landing a role of a lifetime in 1985 as the sarcastic octogenarian Sophia on TV's "The Golden Girls," has died. She was 84.
Getty, who suffered from advanced dementia, died at about 5:30 a.m. Tuesday at her Hollywood Boulevard home, said her son, Carl Gettleman of Santa Monica.
"She was loved throughout the world in six continents, and if they loved sitcoms in Antarctica she would have been loved on seven continents," her son said. "She was one of the most talented comedic actresses who ever lived."
"The Golden Girls," featuring four female retirees sharing a house in Miami, grew out of NBC programming chief Brandon Tartikoff (http://us.lrd.yahoo.com/_ylt=Ap8knHIA3NSZQuY9tYwaA5e.o9EF/SIG=11c7lskvk/**http%3A//tv.yahoo.com/contributor/1002907)'s belief that television was ignoring its older viewers.
Three of its stars had already appeared in previous series: Bea Arthur in "Maude," Betty White (http://us.lrd.yahoo.com/_ylt=AsBf77rTQIbpbMoyZJP3xoe.o9EF/SIG=11aii3lk5/**http%3A//tv.yahoo.com/contributor/46606) in "The Mary Tyler Moore (http://us.lrd.yahoo.com/_ylt=AsIRKwNDbwusuh7vX1mZFX..o9EF/SIG=11ap04tqa/**http%3A//tv.yahoo.com/contributor/32079) Show" and Rue McClanahan (http://us.lrd.yahoo.com/_ylt=AvKnzj2dqEpKYrGO3AVBdWW.o9EF/SIG=11bgt8dui/**http%3A//tv.yahoo.com/contributor/701850) in "Mama's Family." The last character to be cast was Sophia Petrillo, the feisty 80-something mother of Arthur's character.

She was the main reason I watched the show. But only once it started on reruns. I found her character hilarious. RIP

What would I beg to differ on?

I loved Sophia.

Did you know that in real life Estelle Getty was the youngest of the Golden girl cast?

If you meant I would differ about Golden Girls being one of the worst shows ever... that is true.

Bingo.

I figured there might be some confusion since I didn't quote the OP.

This troll is better. Does anyone know anything Estelle Getty did outside of "The Golden Girls?" No. So there is no need for a ghost that would merely mimick me.

Is it because you are a Stallone fan? Would you bone Stallone like E20? I think E20 is a lot like Rose. Not too bright. In Sicily, he would be the village idiot.

I thought the same thing but I just looked it up and Rue McClanahan was the youngest. Estelle Getty was younger than Betty White and Bea Arthur.

I loved the Golden Girls, always made me laugh. She was old she was bound to die sooner rather than later.

What's so disturbing about remembering one of the worst movies ever? If and when Tim Robbins dies I'll be here to remind you all that he had a part in Howard the Duck.

Honestly Shoog, the stuff I'm able to remember disturbs me sometimes too. Mine lone hope is that I'll eventually reach an advanced age like yours and my mind willl start slipping down to the level of a normal human being.
