Back in the 70's I blew a .011 without ever taking a drink. I was on my first job out of college (Houston) and won a production contest and got to go out on an offshore fishing trip on the companies 46 foot Hatteras in Freeport. They called it a day about 2pm and we went back to the dock and split up the fish (lots of fish) and the captain said that anyone that wanted to split up the leftover beer from the trip could have it, as the boat would be restocked for the next trip. I took my share and put it in the ice chest with the fish. I was only 22 and got pulled over for speeding on the way back (10 miles over the limit) and the officer looked in my ice chest and saw fish and beer and cuffed me and took me to the Brazoria County Jail. I kept telling him what happened but he just wouldn't listen. I blew a 0.0 and he fiddled with the dials and made me blow again...he still wasn't happy with that and fiddled with the dials again and made me blow again. I was too young and trusting to realize what was going on. I was sure they were going to thank me for being cooperative and let me go. He pronounced me legally intoxicated and locked me up. They let me use the phone once and nobody was home when I called and they locked me right back up. They wouldn't let me use the phone again. I was MIA at work (it was a weekday trip) and on the second full day I finally saw an attorney meeting a client as they were walking us to lunch and jumped out of line and ran over and hired him on the spot to call my house mate and bail me out.

When I got my truck out of the pound the wrecker driver told me that he and the trooper had split my fish (and beer) because they didn't want my ice chest to stink. Cocksucker acted like he was doing me a favor. At least they left my fucking ice chest and truck.

Needless to say I've never been very fond of Brazoria County since then.

I might assume that the DUI's and MIP were removed once I reached the age of 21, as these violations occured at the age of 18 and 19.

I wouldn't hold your breath on that...anything after the age of 18 doesn't get removed unless maybe if you go through a lot of legal stuff to get it removed. But your juvenile record ends when you turn 18, not 21. And even then you have to get reviewed in some cases to get that stuff off your juvenile record.

And I had to go through a lot of shit to keep that stuff off my adult record....plus I had extenuating circumstances...


I had to get a psychiatric eval that traced those events to beginning with a fall from a 2 story house directly onto concrete and directly onto my head and then waiting 4 hours before going to the hosptital and having to undergo surgery for traumatic brain injury...and then the clincher, even for my under 17 record was that I had completed my GED and HS Diploma on my own, passed the SAT and had been attending junior college(uneventfully and peacefully ;) ) for 6 months before I should have graduated from highschool...and before turning 18.



I wouldn't count on that stuff after you turned 18-19 not being on your record, unless there have been a lot of law changes since it happened to me in the 80's. In fact I wouldn't automatically conclude some of the more serious under 18 stuff isn't on there. I think your stuff is just not showing up on that site for some reason.

It happened a few months before my 16th birthday, spent about 2 weeks in a coma and all that stuff I did was within about a year and a half or so after.

Went from being talkative and extraverted to introverted, from being friendly to anti-social and violent...and what was weird, I went from being a lousy student who made really bad grades to being able to make really good grades(when I wasn't being kicked out of school).


Oh and the weirdest thing...for about 10 years after that happened if I was holding something in my hands, especially my right hand, but couldn't see it...I could not describe it or tell what it was.


It's like doctors said I was ok because my verbal and motor skills were fine and that was all there was to it. Everyone chalked it up to teenage rebellion or something...took a psychiatrist to figure out the head injury probably had something to do with it.
