+1.

I very seldom go to fast food places, so I'm damn sure not going to waste those trips on salad.

Fast food salads are loaded with hidden fat, so if anyone goes to a fast food joint, you might as well enjoy life and order something along the lines of this....

LOL yes your right, however its much worse to get a burger especially like the one that you posted. You ask why I would get a salad at a fast food place, because im trying to eat good and didnt bring lunch today so my options are limited in the small town that I work in. All they have is DQ, Sonic, WB, JITB, Mcdees, Subway.

I like Wendy's Chicken BLT; and second is Chik-Fil-A. But I'll only have those if I have to do a drive thru. Otherwise I'll go for Jason's Deli salad bar.

Salads? What are you gay?

Gay because I chose a salad over a burger. Heart disease and diabetes runs in my family so because I chose to eat a salad over a burger and frys that means im gay? My uncle that had a heart attack and passed away last year at age 46 prob wishes he ate more salads instead of burgers and frys.

good topic. you are right, when you are in a hurry and HAVE to get fast food, it's a better alternative than the burger fries or chicken fried sandwiches etc.

Part of fast food salads is using half the dressing and picking off the cheese/bacon.

hispanic? you're gonna die from diabetes, heart disease, or road rage.

here are some of the salads i've had

McDonalds Grilled Asian -

The sweet sauce that comes on the salad is high in sugar enough, don't add the almonds for the fat, and it's a pretty decent salad

McDonalds Grilled Santa Fe (?)

Whatever that texmex salad is, I haven't had it in a while, but its not bad at all. I remember it having some beans or some sort in there.

Jason's Deli

an evil salad in disguise. load on the toppings and crap, you're looking at a 2000 calorie salad.

Quizno's Flatbread Salads

the shredded lettuce can get annoying. but i love their dressings and toppings.

I've posted this before, but if you're tryin to keep an eye on what you eat, this site can come in handy. You can search for whatever your eating and get an idea, fast food or not, if it's really healthy or not.

As for fast food salads, I'd have to go with Dairy Queen. But I'm kind of one of those people that if I'm gonna break down and eat fast food, then I'll prolly just go for a sandwich or burger.

If I'm going to have a salad, I'm not going to get it from a cheap restaurant.

Make it yourself --

Head of lettuce - 7 salad servings, $1.40
Tomato - 1 salad serving, $0.32
Ranch or Bleu Cheese Dressing - 28 salad servings, $2.99
14 Jalapeņos - 7 salad servings, $0.98
7 Habaneros - 7 salad servings, $0.84
Hot Sauce - 20 salad servings, $1.99
Large Cheese Block - 40 salad servings, $3.99

$0.20 + $0.32 + $0.11 + $0.14 + $0.12 + $0.10 + $0.10

= $1.09

So for a little more than a dollar a salad, a perfectly prepared, gourmet, homemade salad.

Way better than eating out.

Let me tell you how that works.

SFS goes to grocery store, buys:

Head of lettuce - 7 salad servings, $1.40
Tomato - 1 salad serving, $0.32
Ranch or Bleu Cheese Dressing - 28 salad servings, $2.99
14 Jalapeņos - 7 salad servings, $0.98
7 Habaneros - 7 salad servings, $0.84
Hot Sauce - 20 salad servings, $1.99
Large Cheese Block - 40 salad servings, $3.99
$12.51

Gets home, washes lettuce, tomato, Jalapenos, Habaneros,
Cuts lettuce, tomato, Jalapenos, Habaneors
Prepares salad
Eats salad.
Cleans up.

Is too lazy to go through that again.

Lettuce spoils, tomato spoils, peppers spoil.
Large block of cheese gets half used, the rest molds.
Dressing sits in fridge forever.

Hot Sauce eventually gets used on Totino's Party Pizzas.

This is also why I don't need to buy a bike, or order online Spanish lessons.
