What titles are must buys? Keep in mind I already have a 360 and a Wii, which I have the A-listers for already(GTA4, Rockband, GH). So I guess I'm looking for some badass exclusives.

I have these on my list:

SingStar (we have alot of parties, sue me!)
Everyday Shooter
Pixeljunk Monsters
the new Gran Turismo

Also, which model do I get? I never had a PS2, but I would like the ability to get the old Singstars to play too. But I've heard the new models don't always play right with PS2 games.

I'm not exactly sure but i think that only the older models of the PS3 play Ps2 games the new ones aren't backwards compatible anymore.

I guess I'll have to be patient then, since Singstar PS3 will offer the entire back catalog eventually. They already have 200 songs for download on the SingStore, but alot more to go.

DON'T be cheap and get the 40 gig version like I did. That one doesn't play any PS2 games. You will have to get the 80 or 60 gig version in order to play the old PS2 games.

Good to know. I don't own any PS2 games, but my cousin has a few so I'd like the capability to play them if needed.

I got an 80 gig (mgs4 bundle) after my 360 rrod'd for the 5th time, and I've never been happier with a console. I only have MGS, NCAA 09, and MLB the SHOW (great fuckin game) for ps3 titles, but I also have a few old ps2 and ps1 games that I play on it.

Also, I think the 80 gigs are a little hard to find (gamestop only had 1 and the guy said I was pretty lucky), so you might want to look online for one.

What weird is my 40gb version plays old PS1 games no problem. But it doesn't play ANY PS2 games. Go figure.....:rolleyes Thats my fault for being cheap. I had a feeling that buying the 40gb version was going to come back and bite me. The 80gb versions are all around here. It comes in a package with Metal Gear Solid.

Resistance: Fall of Man and Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction.

There are a bunch of good ones coming out later this year, too. Bioshock is going to have new content for the PS3, Resistance 2 and Killzone 2 both look impressive, and Little Big Planet looks fucking amazing.

These are must haves

Metal Gear Solid 4
Call of Duty 4
Soul Caliber
If you can get a 60 gig, its worth paying extra cuz it plays 85-90 percent of old ps2 game which the newer 80gig ps3s do not.

God of War III
Devil May Cry 4

Whats the point in getting the 80gig then if it doesn't play any old titles? For that much a person just might as well get the 60 or 40 gig.

My Friend got one and one thing that he noticed is that most games are only in 720! For a console that is so pricey, i would have thought all games would be in 1080's (more so that the games are Blu-Ray discs).... ah well :hat

I just recently downloaded Nero and it comes with MediaHome. I set it up so my PS3 reads all my media files off of my laptop and I can now watch movies I download on my PS3. It's fucking great.

Does anyone know if the PS3 offers a wireless internet connection like the 360 does?

It's better than the xbox, you know why? It's built into the system (minus old 20gb systems) unlike the Xbox that you have to buy at $100.00

Fuck all that. just buy a Nintendo Entertainment System and get Super Mario Brothers 3. That's all you need.

I have both, but never touch my ps3 since getting the 360.

if the ps3 is touched, it's to play RE4.

Well, I finally got it. Planet earth, 1080p, awesome.

Even the crappy Hulk game that my son loves is beautiful.

Gotta stock up on blu-rays now......
