Hey peeps!

We started a new thing on STSA a few weeks ago and today I thought I'd summon the people for suggestions. All of our bumper music on the show today will be music of 1988. So use this thread to throw out some suggestions of your favorite songs.

And yes, be warned, at somepoint the listener is going to get Rick Roll'd today, since Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up" was a top song of 1988...:blah

LMAO... oh Jesus he's going to get lambasted with as many NKOTB as I can stomach.

You should seriously consider going into and out of every break with NKOTB and rip on Taylor for going to that concert in the first place and not to get laid for his efforts.

$10 says he had dual popped collars at that show.

Billboard Hot 100 (1988)

I was a Billboard reporter back then for a chain of record stores. It was before computers were used for tallying sales, we did it by phone. The record label reps would call every week looking to see where their stuff was going to place. I've got some great memorabilia from those days. Payola was in full swing. :lol

Bobby McFerrin's "Don't Worry, Be Happy" reminds me of the miserably long 2-a-days (3 1/2 weeks) we had in the summer of 1988 and some guy on our club who never played but insisted upon saying, day after day, "Don't worry, be happy" to all of the linemen as we would finish drills. Dude got pummelled at least once that I can recall.

Just off the top of my head, both Double Dutch Bus and Off the Wall were LONG before 1988.
