No matter what fans will hate their FO. I see Spurs fans on here are not too fond of their FO even though it has yielded 3 titles in the last 6 years. Hornets fans probably think they overpaid for Posey, Lakers fans hate Kupchak even after the Gasol steal... Mavs fans wouldn't be satisfied no matter what. This hasn't been the worst of offseasons. we got rid of the biggest problem with the team IMO which was Avery, we solidified interior defensive issues with Diop, and we're making an attempt at acquiring youth and athleticism. yeah, I too lust for a big name like Artest, Smith, what have you... but keep in mind we made a trade for a big name last year and typically teams don't do that two years in a row. I also believe that the coaching change can rejuvenate Kidd and Howard's games, although regarding Howard I am not confident in thatbelief.
Furthermore, everyone fancys over Artest/Smith as if they wouldafill a Mavs void. It's just a small forward upgrade, but we'd still be have low post scoring issues and a void at a true shooting guard rather than the tweener that is Jason Terry. Trading Howard would not have resulted in a huge upgrade for the Mavs.

It's fine, Mavs are winning a championship. :D
