Love the Chips Ahoy though :tu
Bah.
Keebler chocolate chip cookies are where it's at.
I remember the days when this forum was started. Although I am no longer a "regular," I recall some absolutely hilarious moments on here! The cool thing is that many of the old school posters are still regular contributors here. That says a lot!
Some good stuff from the days of yore:
-The classic GhostWriter vs. Marcus Bryant arguments.
-Repeated threats by certain forumers to "retire." Very few actually carried through with it, and those who did would return within a few days. :lol
-Weekly rants about Kevin O'Keeffe's lousy Spurs articles in The Sporting News.
-The day the DRob to the Knicks for Kurt Thomas and Latrell Sprewell trade rumor hit the fan. Lots of lively discussion on that one!
-DizzG "IMO :hat"
-T Park num 9 looking for love in all the wrong places.
-SPAM, © Ed Helicopter Jones circa 2001
-baseline bum's hilarious takes on Steve Smith's play.
-timvp, Oscar and Felix say "hi!" (http://www.timvp.com/) :rollin
I have missed you guys, and hope everyone is doing well!

I had forgotten about that! :lol
I guess it comes down to personal preference, but I would still take SJax over Manu. Both are obviously good players with different skill sets. Last year, Jackson had averages of 20.1 PPG, 4.4 RPG, 4.1 APG, and shot relatively well from the 3-point line as well as the free throw line. I think that's better than many people expected when we were discussing this five years ago.
Jackson doesn't frustrate me like Manu does. I feel like Manu either makes brilliant plays or horrible plays, and when he makes the horrible plays it's hard for me to watch. While SJax makes his share of mistakes, I just like his style of play more. Plus, when we're in a tight game I would feel confident with SJax shooting the ball (see NBA Playoffs, 2003).

yeah, this thread brings back some memories...
Thank you for joining us. I realize that it takes some gumption to go against the inherent power so your presence is appreciated. As time passes, more people will see through the mirage and will find this oasis of smart basketball talk. We will have no gimmicks or make believe. There will be no power struggles or jealousy. Just good conversation.
Our goal is to provide a safe haven for Spurs fans and NBA fans alike.
It's a great idea, but it's already done. We already have all that, it's called SpursCentral (http://www.sahoops.net/)
:lmao :lmao :lmao
Whoa. Meant to put this in the other thread, but okay.
Talk about the bump from hell.
