Tried In and Out Burger And Wasn't Impressed [Archive]

Went to Vegas for a couple of days and the night we got there it was already pretty late, so we spotted one of these and thought we'd give it a try just to see what the hype was all about. They were still pretty packed at 10 at night both drive thru and inside just like everyone says. The burger and fries were okay at the least but they don't serve you much. I even got the double meat one and it was still too small. The fries were so so and I didn't get around to trying one of there shakes but I'm sure it was no biggie. One pro about it was that it was pretty cheap for 2 burgers (one double meat) two fries and two drinks.....didn't even cost me more than 10 bucks. For what it is and I'd never thought I'd say this but Whataburger is better and they give more food and tastes better. If we never get these in town I won't give a care. I'm glad that we at least got Fatburger out of the two Cali Chains because they're much better IMO. But hey, that's just me. Just don't see what all the hype is on IN and Out.

in and out burger is f'n good, i don't know what you talkiing about. I think the majority of people would agree with me as well.

you just have to eat their fries real quick while they are hot and also get a side of their spread to go with it.

Their burgers are pretty good and taste much much fresher than other fast food joints. I think the freshness is what makes me go there. There is an obvious difference IMO from other burger joints.

I've never eaten at one in Vegas, but the ones in LA put Whataburger to shame. All the meat for every In N Out comes unfrozen from one plant near LA, so maybe it's just not as fresh after the commute (In N Out refuses to use anything but its own processing plant, which is why they don't expand much farther than SoCal).

The fries do suck, and the burgers are pretty small. The beef has always tasted way better than any fast food burger other than Fatburger any time I've had it though. The shakes are the best things they make. They make Whataburger's artificial shakes taste like dogshit.

Whataburgers hamburger meat is not frozen as well, and has blood in it when you take it out of its box.

Whataburger Ray J-Reggie Bush's-Vince Young Rosebowl dirty style In N out anyday.

Don't believe me.

Is it just me or have The In and Out Burgers gotten smaller then they were 10 years ago? Granted I almost never eat there but stopped by a few weeks ago and they seemed much smaller then they used to be. On the Vegas Ellis Island Casino 1.00 Pints of good Micro Beer and Home of The 10oz Sirloin steak special 7.99.

I am just saying they use the same brand or kind in all of there locations. I don't mean to say that it can't be old or abused products just that it is the same and should be consistent. It doesn't sound like that's the case though.

Jacks Classic Burgers I think that's what it is called in LA is freaking the best hands down. It's a small road side place great burger with more fries then you should eat.

I did not realize that there were In & Outs outside of Southern California but I have to agree…Noting can compare to Whatta burger…

Also I have been to Malibu Beach at Sunset…Cant even come close to the River Walk…And Pebble Beach is also highly overrated….Give me a hot dry flat SA course any day!

some people think they have the greatest burgers ever. but they really dont. its awesome, and definitely among the best FAST FOOD burgers ive had. but i would rather have a burger from Red Robin. the absolute BEST is this place in Dallas, in the Oak Cliff area, called Wingfields. anyone who lives in dallas MUST try this place. best fucking burgers ever, no question about it. im not going to say much more about them, other than to just try them. only then, will you be able to understand how good they are.

I had In and Out in San Diego and it was pretty good as far as fast food goes. Fries were pretty good to but my all time favorite fast food hamberger place was Puffin Billys on fred rd in Balcones Heights
