Is it nice or not? I've heard contrary reports of the place. And the last time I went I thought it was nice but that was about 10-15 years ago.

Its a bit ghetto, but its not too bad. The beach there pretty much blows.

i would say so, it's nowhere near as industrial. I was just in rockport this last weekend.

There's not much to do there except walk the nasty beaches and go boating. Depends on what you're looking for.

Had an interesting weekend there two years ago this week.
