Kori Ellis

How many Ticket 760 and/or ESPN 1250 threads can their possible be The Club!? Got damn!

So I'm making one more.

Tomorrow afternoon there will an announcement about something new coming to Ticket 760.

I know what it is, but just for fun ... guess what it is.

If anyone actually guesses right (without any inside info), I guess I'll give you some kind of prize.

My guess is that the Ticket is going to announce a new three hour show that is actually 3 shows in 1. The first hour will be called "Pop is an Idiot" and will be hosted by a revolving panel of experts who post at Spurs Talk. The second hour will be called "The Spurs Front Office is Full of Imbeciles" and be hosted by a revolving panel of experts from Spurs Talk. And the third hour will be called "Spurs Peak After March," but will really be an hour of experts from Spurs Talk who won't talk about anything Spurs-related until sometime after the first day of March.

PeterBurns
08-07-2008, 09:29 PM
Yo...

Wanted to thank some of ya'll for the feedback and PM's
Looking forward to the show.

Since Charlie moved from the Ticket, we've been really wanting a morning show here.
So it's been cooking for over a year, not necessarily with Andy and I, but just getting a morning show back on the Ticket.

After Charlie and Chance, and before ESPN got to town, you had to wait until 3PM to get any kind of local sports talk. Which to me never made much sense especially, because if Tony Parker goes down with an injury on a Monday night. National shows might mention it, but a local show will break it down in more depth.

Even more so regarding Football. Especially College. (UT, A&M, Tech...etc)

Andy is a damn good overall sports guy, and I think a lot of people here on this board will really appreciate the Spurs coverage that he's going to be able to bring this season with the show.

As for me. It obvious I was hired to make Andy sound smarter. I'm fine with that.

Regarding an earlier post. I will tell you that we are on the same page regarding wanting to get a Coach Pop or a Spur as a regular part of the show. That is being discussed.

Keep up with the suggestions. You guys have always been a good sounding board for ideas, and that's the reason why I always post stuff about the stations here.

If there's stuff you'd like to see in the show, shoot me a PM, and i'll do my best to work it in. But I will tell you. Topic Wheel will not even be considered.

Many people here remember Andy as the best Game Night React host ever. So, I'm sure that you will get an instant following from the diehard Spurs fans.

Good luck, Peter. I have been wanting you to get a real show (not that the fantasy football show isn't one) for a while now. You are much better on the radio now than you were a few years back when you were just getting comfortable on air. I'm sure you will flourish.

Here's the deal. I was told that if I did the morning show, I'd get an extra $2.45 an hour, plus be allowed to use the KJ97 private bathroom when Randy Carroll is out of town So, It was a no-brainer.

Is 7-9AM a late night show for you or are you actually going to wake up each morning at 5AM? If it is the latter, you should already be asleep so you can prepare for your show :nope

I'm not usually awake at the time of your new show and I don't like sports talk in general anyways but I'll listen for at least a few minutes. Be sure to podcast or youtube the good parts . . .

Oh and Andy Everett is the only person who has ever hosted Game Night React who I thought was worth listening to. The rest of the hosts have been trash for the most part. I've always told Kori to get him on the WOAI Roundtables as much as possible.

Good luck and hopefully you will be able to tell the difference between 88% and 85%.

I'm been very open here on the site about that whole situation.

She always had opportunities to do this stuff, so I never pursued it.
A few months ago, I took a step back, and told myself that I don't ever want to have any regrets on things I never had the balls to do.

This was one of them. 4 Girls in a Hot Tub was the other.
