The towel t-shirts... I had zipper polos, button-up, pull-over... From ages 12-through-14, that's all I'd wear were those damn towel shirts. I don't even remember who made them, but they were trendy enough that you could buy them at Dillards, and when you grow up in Yuma, Az., Dillards is the shit!

I admit at one point a few years ago I registered online here (refered to myself as God) and wore a monkey costume while some guy took provocative pictures of me shooting my middle fingers for an avatar. Then I proceeded to pompously act like I knew a lot about everything including the weather. I'm not proud.

I'm pretty sure that I've never embarassed fads; fads have, however, embarassed me.

I'm 46, so I've worn or been exposed to practically every fad since the 1960's. My vote for the worst was the men's leisure suits and shirts worn with a big-a$$ medallion around you neck. (Damn I wish still had a copy of my ex-husband's college year book). That was a fad that he jumped into with both feet and took a big ol' swim in.

I'm proud to say I never owned a leisure suit or a Members Only jacket, nor ever had a jheri-curl.

Most embarrasing fad? Probably Pokemon cards in teh 5th grade, I collected Yugioh cards and played the game for about 2 years, but I don't regret that and I still sometimes play that game, but the people who play the game are all asses. I also wore a white tee once and the next day I burned it because I looked ridiculous.

Was it one of those big ass 3X tees that hang down about 3 feet past your waist?

I am hoping so, because just a regular one that fits somewhat doesn't look rediculous on anyone.

Sort of.......I normally wear medium and I think this was XL or L and I looked like a wigger. If I could I would go back in time and I would hang myself with the tee.

:tu Even though I don't play it anymore either, Yugioh will always be badass.

6th grade was a turning point for me and fashion...

I was still wearing jams for some reason.

One day I did the one-strap overalls thing and it did not go over well.

I also got three pairs of Z. Cavariccis on the exact day (apparently) that they went out of style. The first pair I wore was a cool khaki number with belt loops all the way around the waste... I was ridiculed mercilessly for them.

As a result of these incidents and several other fashion faux pas I became a T-shirt and jeans guy for life.
