I believe the reason for the prohibition regarding screwing cousins is derived from the fact that procreating with close relatives (ie. inbreeding) more often results in genetic problems - more miscarriages, more still births, higher rates of disability, exposure of weaknesses in the genome, etc. By that rationale, screwing ones' cousin of the same sex is okay since the sex can never result in conception.
