Thes Spurs weakest area imo is the SF spot. Bowen is a good defender and can give us a couple threes a game but lets face it hes 37. Udoka is a better offensive player but is only 6-5.

While our failure to address this spot will likely cost us at times next season, it may be an even larger concern in 2009 when Udoka is an UFA and Bowen will be a year older.

With the spurs not having a draft pick in the first round, and likely unwilling to give a free agent more than a 1 yr deal next summer so they can keep cap room free for 2010, what do you see the Spurs doing over the next two yrs to get better at that spot?

I'd love to see Nocioni on the Spurs, perfect player IMO.

I'd like to see any veteran younger than 30 who can actually play...

grooming tolliver, splitting minutes between the ususal, imo the sf isnt our first need, it somewhere next to timmy that is our weakest point. bruce and company imo, can handle what they get, its timmy who cant help anyones legs when they lose their guy and makes his move towards the paint. i dont recall which PO game against NO we got beat under the paint by more then double digits(real ugly like, tyson and west were unstoppable, chris had more 3 ft. shots that i want to recall). it was like that imo and according to them stats all season long, it got worse come PO time.....heres the funny part, because we made double digits shots(and makes) from the arc, we won that game.....we live and die from behind the arc, no more, no less.......stop somebody from making easy shots, grab(dont tip ala fab) rebounds, blocking shots, add that formula to what we have and we win..........easy:downspin:

It's just the 439th thread on that subject.

Matt Bonner could fix our SF problems, If only Pop knew he was on our team

I think you'll see more Udoka for sure and Manu will get more time at the 3 this year with the depth at the SG position.

Dude, I'm a Bonner fan, but he is not fast enough for NBA SFs, trust me.

Hopefully Gist, with Udoka starting this year. It's not like Bowen will be able to beat his record anymore. How many seasons was the last one, anyways?

this will be his last olympics i believe. so he will come off the bench this year to conserve energy and minutes for the playoffs and start next year fresher for the season with no basketball in the offseason.

I cant see manu playn the 3. Hes 195lbs with buck shot in his pockets. Gist could be the guy, but even if hes on the team this yr Pops will pull his ass the first time he misses a rotation.

Bonner.....my grandmother is a better 3 than he would be!

Tolliver doesnt move like a 3, Im surprised we didnt look at Devin Green, he can play the 2 and 3.

Gist signed with an Italian team so he is out of the question.
