What is a moment or sequence you wish you could have personally been at through all sports history? And seriously, pick something that was truly great. Not just saying something gay like "the spurs winning the championship" when there was no special event that happened (unless you are talking about Horry's big shot, or something like that) I'm talking about monumental and truly breathtaking moments in sports history

Examples:

Jordan hitting "The Shot" against Cleveland
John Elway's "Drive"
Red Sox finally beating the Yankees in 04
T-Mac's "13 in 33"
"Manning to Tyree"
Lebron's "29 of 30"
Magic's "baby hook"
Texas upsetting USC.
many more...

The truly special moments in sports history that got people jumping out of their seats and going crazy. Events that ALL sports fans can come to appreciate, no matter what the circumstances.

David Ortiz hitting the gamewinner in Game 5 of the 2004 ALCS. Not a Red Sox fan, I just hate the Yankees enough to love this moment.

Plus this video is just bad ass -

Duncan's 21/20/10/8 in game 6 of the '03 Finals.

The Duncan/Sprewell shootout in game 5 of the '99 Finals.

Duncan's 'not going to lose this' performance in the last 6 minutes of the third quarter in game 7 of the '05 Finals. (And the entire fourth quarter while I'm there. :))

First off I've always been a Hawks fan, I started rooting for the Mavs in the 2006 playoffs because my team sucked at the time. I was frustrated, but now that our front office has made a couple of good moves Im rooting for my team again. Even though Im disappointed that I jumped on the Mavs bandwagon its not something Im going to lie about. Just for everyone's information I used to go by the Name of "The Nba Is Rigged". Nice try Dickface but its not something Im going to lie about.

And I'm not just being a homer. This shot is apparently ranked in the top 60 moments of the NBA, so you know its good. But Elliott is my favorite all time Spur, so there's that too.

Incredible finish, and Jimmy V had such a great story. And hey, every March my Houston Cougars get a little TV time out of it.

Really? Not according to your own words.

Diss me all you want Mavs fans and call me a bandwagon fan but I'm tired of this shit, 8 years of watchin this team is enough they break my heart every single year.

Go ahead and bash me man but 8 years of this shit is too painful, why keep rooting for them if next year the same punishment will happen.? I love those guys but its just become too painful for me too watch

2006 + 8 years = 2014

no, you're going to lie about everything else. you feel terrible about dumping the Hawks for the Mavs? But wait a minute, right here you say you feel terrible about dumping the Mavs for the Hawks!

At least I won't hae to worry about not having a post presence and I actually know these guys will compete, I feel rotten inside for doing this.

So which one is it?

What did you expect? You're going to get some homerism even though your question is broader.

Those are the three I really wish I'd been at. They're "truly great" to me. :)

I was at the game in person, behind the Bulls basket in the 18th row when Jordan hit the last shot in 98.

I wish I could have been at The Palace brawl.

You mean "THE Push-Off"? Wow....quite a moment.

I gotta go with Isiah's 25-point quarter in '88.

Robert Horry in 2002. That shot still amazes me.

Staples was loud as fuck when he hit that. You could barely hear the announcers.

Also this, because if Fish hadn't hit that shot, Timmy's would've been the biggest in Spur history.

My father is an early game leaver, he hates traffic. He has season tickets to the Dodgers and left in the 9th inning of game 1 in the 1988 world series. He did get to see Kirk Gibson's winning homer on his portable TV while still in the parking lot. Funny thing is, no one left the stadium after Gibson hit it. Dad exits in right field and could have been right there when it left the park. Great seats, row 20 field level, exactly between home and first. Near the last row, so 2nd deck gives shade if it's a day game.

I guess if I could see anything from history, it would be Babe Ruth's called shot in the WS versus the Cubs, and I would video tape it. That would be worth a few million wouldn't you say?

Alot to choose from. I was a huge Mike Tyson fan. He fought three times as a pro in Glens Falls New York, my home town. Obviously he turned out to be who we know today but the Buster Douglas knockout of Tyson was UNREAL to me. I thought Tyson was a machine,an unstoppable force. The toughest bastards out there were scared to death of him and Buster Douglas beat his ass down. I think in 9 rounds.

So which one is it?

Yup your right, I did lie. At the time I was just looking for a reason to jump back on my Hawks bandwagon that's why I just said I was a mavs fan for 8 years. I know the Mavs have never won a championship, and usually all of their playoff exits are disappointing so it was an easy excuse for me to use. Truth is I still wish that team well, and I hope they do well. The reason I used the name " The Nba is Rigged" was because I had always thought this league rigged some series and some games and I thought the 2006 finals was a perfect example of it. That was a series in which Wade went to the line 97 times, and in the crucial game 5 the Mavs had 6 more made field goals and 11 more rebounds than the Heat and yet they still lost.

But anyway Dickface, you know if you were in the same position I was in you would do the same thing I did. In fact alot of people know they would do the same thing I did. If the team you root for sucked for many years, would you not root for another team for a while? And when your team begins to become good again you would start to root for them again. I know this makes me a bandwagon fan but whatever. Red Hawk #21 = The Nba Is Rigged. Good job Dickface you exposed me.
