I just saw this movie and I can't remember laughing so hard at a movie since I saw something about Mary. Screw the media who's trying to destroy this movie. It was hilarious and you can tell Stiller had 100 percent creative freedom in this movie because everything is so over the top.

Tom Cruise almost steals the show with his cameos in the movie. I won't leave any spoilers but he is hilarious.

The opening commercials/trailers whic are also part of the movie were pretty funny as well.

If you havent seen it i highly suggest you do, i did not go in with great expectations as i generally find Stiller to suck but this movie was hilarious all the way through.

I thought it was really entertaining. My favorite line was...

I should probably keep it to myself. It gives absolutely nothing away, but the last time I gave absolutely nothing away about pineapple express, everyone started bitching.

I thought pineapple express>tropic thunder=step brothers.

oh, and i think if you edit your post before the next minute, it doesn't show the "last edited" thing.

It might be 30 seconds, but it's something like that.

Hated Tropic Thunder. Went in with good expectations as i thought Zoolander and Mary were great.

Overdone swearing and gags in lieu of plotline, which had a ton of potential.
The same thing it tries to parody, stuffy pretentious self absorbed Hollywood, 'Thunder became.

Did have its moments. The fake trailers were funny.

Tom Cruise? Weirdness further validated. Over the top rude is soo tied and not funny.

Heath, suffice to say we disagree on this one.

I thought Tom Cruise was the love child of Woody Allen and Paul Giamatti. It frightened and confused me.

I thought it was good, but not as funny as what I was expecting with all of the potential that was there. I felt like it was kind of dragging in the middle to almost a halt. When it was funny though it was really fucking funny, I don't think I have ever laughed so hard in any movie as I did when the whole land mine scene was happening, that was truly comedy gold

I'm gonna go check it out tonight, but I'll be honest, I'm not expecting much of a plotline in a movie like this.

+1

I liked it, but it felt like they crammed the meat of the movie into the last 30 minutes. They could've spent more time developing the characters. Not for "emotional connection with the audience" reasons, but to make the characters funnier.

It was pretty funny, a bit ove the top, but entertaining none the less. I laughed more than with Something about Mary. The scenes with "Les" were hillarious. Is Tom Cruise making a comeback? But Robert Downey Jr. owned the film

Yeah that scene was awesome.

I'll admit that it did drag a bit. I'll also admit I was wrong with my earlier quote. It really could have developed a better plot and yeah the characters could have been funnier.

I fucking loved the Toby Maguire cameo.
