I thought it was 9 weeks now. I did basic at Lackland in 2001. Hell of an experience that I do not regret. Good luck to you man. At least the summer is coming to an end for you. When I got to basic, it was late July in San Antonio.:lol

My best advice is to listen for their intent (MTIs)...and filter out all the other bullshit ribbing that comes along with it.
Believe it or not, they actually have a purpose behind what they do.

i had a background check for my secret clearance and i just said no no no like my recrutier told me to and it all turned out good

You should've seem the first prototypes for the new combat uniforms...
It was like someone took the urban camo and threw up blue koolaid all over it.
Believe me, the ones the Air Force have now are FAR better than what could've been...even if they do have sage (official color) boots.
BTW, most that have been to the sandbox wear the new combat unis with the standard desert tan boots...still authorized.

AFBlue...you can still obtain the clearance...but in the marines that should be his last concern...JT back in 1999 I had the marines come over to the house to talk about their branch of service and I went with the army...I always wanted to be a marine cause they looked sharp and were elite but its over rated...best advice would be join the air force and then the army if you dont get accepted...the army did a lot for me and got me where I am today but they are going through some serious shit right now...almost as if they dont know who they are or what they want to do....maybe its the war but stupidity is at an all time high right now...good luck to all of you...thanks for doing what you do

So I graduate tech school for air traffic control in the morning and will be controlling traffic at Beale AFB CA next month...just thought i would let yall know i will be making sure i keep spurs pride over in Cali and let them know who is winning it this year
