Keep it realisitic, MJ in his prime... no.

I would love to have Elton Brand next to Tim Duncan, that would be sweet.

Well, I have to say Lebron also.

He and TD would be better than Magic and Kareem.

I think Magic was a slightly better shooter and passer but then again LeBron is still young.

but mcnabb sucks in postseason

lets see if he can play as well if not better in postseason before we say he is in the same class as magic

Kori, we are the favs right now, I would think that with even a young Lebron, our chances would be even better.

Besides, do we want Shaq to have more titles in his career than Timmy?

Shaq is probably the best choice. But since there are probably ten players out there that would guarantee a dynasty if brought to the Spurs, I'd rather go with someone I could root for without feeling like a sellout.

I worry about Shaq and Duncan getting in each other's way. Duncan can play fifteen feet out, but he still does his best work underneath. I remember when Dominique and Kevin Willis were both at the top of their games and couldn't stay out of each other's way on the left block.

I think a defensive center who does all of the little things and finishes like Ben Wallace would be a better choice. If I had to choose, I would pick a swingman capable of shooting lights out and doing some other things well. Ray Allen, Mike Redd, etc. come to mind.

Brad is a nice player. Probably Sacto's third most important right now. Ultra efficient on offense and good on the boards. Only problem is his defense. It is subpar for the most part. He is a good player though.

Yeah I am with you on that. Just saying he would make a pretty good fit. He is generally a pretty underrated player I think.

Having seen the play by the Spurs in recent games, I just hope that the plan to land in Malone were in fact a plot by Pop to stimulate his players to their best. Pop and the Spurs have given him every courtesy and patience, just waiting for his reply. First, the Spurs is not his first choice, not until his dispute with Kobe. Secondly, I respect him for saying he will not join unless he's 100% percent fit. But how can he test that? Has he played one-on-one with Duncan? I suppose he also did not practice with the Lakers earlier on. Has he learned the Spurs defense system? The most frequent things he heard him doing was vacation these days. Finally, suppose he plays well and fits nicely into the Spurs, whose minutes will be cut and who will be waived?

I just hope the courtship ends soon like this : after seeking the opinion from his family Malone will not play with the Spurs. The soon it is resolved, the fewer are the uncertainties.

Ah... the player I want to add is LUIS SCOLA, if I could!

Man...a lot of Kobe haters..as he would be the perfect fit for the spurs...
He's already proved he can work with the bigs...and he's the best closer in the L, something the spurs have trouble doing in big games of recent history. On a poll of 227 nba players they were asked who would you want to have the ball in the last few seconds of the game...they picked kobe @ 56%...the next guy was I believe 17%. TD was 1%.

Actually, the most recent poll of this kind was won by Manu, and Reggie came in second.

Try again.

Plus, who cares what the PEOPLE THINK about who should shoot the final shot.
