I dislike the Texans name, but the Oilers are dead and gone. I'd hate to tarnish my memories of them with the effort in futility the Texans put forth :P

Bud Adams took the rights to the Oilers name, logo and colors when he moved the Franchise to Tennessee. So there was no chance for the new Houston franchise(Texans) to of renamed their team "Oilers", like what Cleveland did when the original Browns moved to Baltimore and renamed themselves The Ravens.
