Shaun Livingston Continues To Progress

Aug 21, 2008 4:34 PM EST
Shaun Livingston, one of the few free agent point guard left on the market, continues to workout in an attempt to draw suitors prior to the season, according to The Orange County Register.

The Clippers renounced their rights to Livingston last month, making him an unrestricted free agent.

Roughly 18 months ago he suffered a left knee injury that required surgery to repair ruptures to all the major ligaments in his knee, as well as cartilage damage.

He has been working out, and taking part in full-scale pickup games with a few dozen NBA players.

Would make sense for the Denver Nuggets.

Livingston never had a jumper and has relied almost exclusively on his athleticism. I can't picture him ever being an effective player again unless his doctor is House or something. Too bad... he was my second favorite Clipper (after Brand) after I saw the way he could come in and shut Nash down in the playoffs 2 years ago.

I'm just glad he's healing. I happened to be watching when it happened, it was a stomach turning injury. I hope he can find a job sooner or later. To come back from that and be able to play on any level is pretty impressive.
