Duncan is only scheduled to be out for the back-to-back against Charlotte and Washington today and tomorrow. As far as I know, he's out not only due to his ailing knee and hip, but moreso because he rolled his ankle in practice a couple days ago. Thus, the injury shouldn't be too severe and they are just holding him back as a precaution.

I'm pretty sure he's probable for New Jersey and should be back in action against Miami on Sunday. So unless he continues to add injuries to his list in the upcoming week, I don't see why he should miss the ASG.

Charlotte, Washington and New Jersey have a weak frontcourt, and the only backourt stronger than ours is Kidd-Carter, I think it won't be too bad if Duncan gets rest before his matchup against Shaq.
I wonder if Manu and Tony can step up and lead this team for 2 or 3 wins.

Hell yeah Ginobli and Parker can step up in TD's abcence. I think it's a great opportunity for some of our guys to succeed without TD around, give them some more confidence. I would, however, like to have TD back for the Miami game, you can only take shit so far if you know what I mean. :fro

If Timmy can't go in the All-Star game, Stern will appoint a replacement. I'd suspect that it will be either Gasol or Webber, and I'd think Gasol based solely on international marketing opportunities and rewarding the Grizzlies with an All-Star.

I'm curious to see what will happen if Kobe can't play in the All-Star game, too. I'd imagine Tony Parker shares that curiosity.

International marketing, maybe, but I think the Kings (32-15) deserve an All-Star much more than the Grizzlies (27-21), although Memphis has played well after a rough start. I think Webber's having a better season too.

As it stands now, Timmy will most likely play. If he can't play, that will mean he's been injured again, and frankly, at that point I don't even care who would take his play for the AS game.
