JT, where are you?
I thought you would've started this already in anticipation of the upcoming season.

I'm heading to the new stadium tonight for the game against the Bills. Pre-season, yes...but it will still be cool to see the place.

Is he playing tonight?
I know he was walking around at practice the other day, but I'm not sure about him playing.

I'm not sure, I've heard there's a lot of concern over his knee swelling, but it could be much ado about nothing. Pats fans are panicking about Brady's foot too.

No he isn't playing tonight, he might play next Thursday but he might not. He said he wants to play in Week 1, and I don't think it's a big deal to not play in any preseason games and then go out and play the Chicago Bears.

In a suite. My station has one at the stadium.
Really though, I'll probably spend a lot of time walking around. I never made it through the tours last week.

The first real game in the new stadium is not until September 7th... If you want to get technical they held a high school football game there last week, so this is the second game. Have fun though. Take pictures.

If the Colts can keep their main guys healthy, I pick them to win the division. If they cant stay healthy, 10-6 and a wild-card berth. That division is pretty brutal.

Well, I meant the first COLTS game...preseason or otherwise. We got certificates saying we attended the first game...so...yeah.
I didn't get any pics, but it was pretty awesome.
I only stayed for the first half because I'm actually working tonight...so I was being paid to take in a game.
The roof was open, so that was pretty cool.
And man, that place is absolutely massive! :wow

Other than that, I didn't really see much of the game because I was too busy taking in all the sights.

Do you plan on taking in a game this season?

I went to a preseason game, and the stadium is pretty awesome. The size alone is something to see. It dwarfs the RCA dome!

I'm not as sure this season. I think the AFC South is weaker this year.

Jacksonville is like the Milwaukee Brewers of the NFL. When the outcome is in doubt, Jacksonville is ingenious at inventing new ways to lose.

I'm going to assume that Houston has improved, because every year ESPN tells me to keep an eye on them and the Cardinals. Seriously, they have a lot of room for improvement, 'nuff said!

That leaves the Titans. Every year Jeff Fisher manages to polish that heap of dog turds into a decent football team. I'm not sure how he does it, but you can't pull off a miracle every season, so the odds say this will be a down year.

I'll be back with more in-depth analysis after I cherrypick a few facts to back me up on my half-assed predictions.

The only player I know of that MIGHT be coming back this week is Dallas Clark.

TOP TEN REASONS WHY SANDERS GETS INJURED:

10: Damn brick walls keep breaking, never bending.
9: My back also hurts after making sweet love to the most beautiful women from Brazil, Australia, and Sweden for more than 12 hours a day.
8. Come to think of it, other things also hurt after #9. Bob's only human.
7. The damn guvmint keeps having him test somethin called the "Super Soldier Serum." Damn guvmint.
6. Chuck Norris and Evander Holyfield threaten to retire if they don't have a competitive sparring partner. Bob does it for Old Glory!
5. Routine beatings from the Indianapolis P.D.
4. Bob always takes one for the team, as his mutant regenerative powers should be used for good, not evil.
3. Carpal tunnel syndrome from too many hours on the internet explaining that "Bob Sanders" isn't a clever pseudonym.
2. Chicks dig scars. See #9.
1. Carrying an entire defensive unit on your back is hard on the delicate lumbar region. Again, Bob's only human.

you're wrong if you're gonna sit there and say he doesn't make a difference. He's one of a very few defensive players in the league who can turn a defense around. See the Colts superbowl run a few years ago.

Nice game to watch. With my newbie European eye, I don't find that defense against the run was the problem for Indiana.
Aside from eating the clock, Jaguars running offense didn't do a lot of things. They only scored 1 TD and 2 FGs with it.

The problem was that Colts' offense wasn't clicking.

Sanders makes a HUGE difference for the defense...sure, it's possible the Colts would've won if he would've played.

What cost the Colts this game was stupid playcalling in after the Reggie Wayne reception that went to the 2 yard line. Two incomplete passes in a row took next to nothing off of the clock. Almost as embarrassing as the "let's try to draw the Chargers offsides" thing last season that pushed Vinatieri back just enough to miss a short FG.
