at Texas - W 24-21
ALABAMA - L 24-35
FLORIDA - L 17-35
at Auburn - L 31-38

MISSISSIPPI - W 48-27
TULSA - W 42-28
at South Carolina - L 20-30
at Mississippi State - W 31-24
LOUISIANA STATE - L 17-31

Upset: @ Texas
Heart breaker: @ Auburn
Conference: 3-5
Overall: 7-5

I'm calling for an upset at Texas. Both programs are rebuilding and have nothing but questions going into the season. It will be Bobby Petrino's first big game as the head Hog and I think we have a great chance to turn some heads. We at least need it to be a close game if we lose for the sake of recruiting. It will come down to our defense in this game, very raw with no experience.

What about your team?

MajorMike

I personally don't think arKy will beat either TU; Tulsa is gonna be pretty good this year.

OSU will be 8-4

at Washington State - W
Houston - W
Missouri State - W
Troy - W
Texas A&M - W
at Missouri - L
Baylor - W
at Texas - L
Iowa State - W
at Texas Tech - L
at Colorado - W
Oklahoma - L

2 biggest swing games are the final 2 games of the year. CU is an unknown and it is in Boudler and Bedlam is always a 50/50 in Stillwater. Of the other 10 games we will win as faves in 7 and lose as big dogs in 3. No upsets either way.

RonMexico

A&M.... 8-4

They will beat the typical fodder: Baylor, Iowa State, Oklahoma State, and Colorado. Their toughest tests will be Texas, Oklahoma, and Tech.

That leaves the 4th loss to come probably from Miami.

It could always go to 9-3 or 7-5, but if they beat Tech or Miami or OU, I can always see them blowing a game vs. Colorado or Okie State to bring them back to the average 8-4.

If Wisc is indeed down this year and Ohio gets past them, I don't disagree with the rest of the prognostication; regardless of how GOOD they really are I don't see many other speedbumps in their path. They also have the benifit of playing early an SC team that will be down from typical SC years. Other scary games could be @ Mich St and @ Illi (if the fightin Zooksters show again this year).

Asking to play uo in a BCS game is prolly the medicine Ohio needs to end a season, for sure.

as unbiased as i can be...Leinart is looking like he might be a bust. to be completely fair to Matt, he hasn't had the best of situations with Warner breathing down his neck...but his poor spot play has not helped. doesn't look good.

i don't think Bush has been a bust at all...he has a pretty fair impact on the Saints. However, he hasn't lived quite up to expectations...i think this year could be big for him.

9-3. The ususal. Next year will be the year that we win our third Big 12 Conference Championship. Too many question marks this year. Hell, Mack can't even fill out a depth chart with 5 days to go before the season opener.

And the reason that JGW has USC as his favorite team is because he is a front-running douchebag. If that answers your question.

I really think WVU can lose 2-of-the-3 toss-up games, but probably not all three. They always seem to have trouble with Pittsburg and So. Florida no matter how good/bad their opponent is for the year. Auburn should be one helluva game, but I see WVU's offense being better than Auburn's defense - and playing at home only helps. I also see WVU winning the Big EAst without question. So. Florida will probably come in 2nd with Pitt 3rd, so the Mountaineers will enjoy another BCS bowl game.

Of course a LOT hinges on Stewart (WVU's head coach), and how he can operate things as the season progresses. He demoralized Oklahoma in last year's bowl game despite all the turmoil with Rodriguez leaving at the end of the regular season.

I didn't think they'd lose to K-State the last two years, but they did. A loss to Tech is more likely than Arkansas. UT has to play in Lubbock this year, and I just don't think Arkansas is going to be very good. Like, fighting for fifth in the SEC West or so with Ole Miss. Too many holes left to fill and a new offense on top of all that.

Regarding Mizzou, I think they're the best team in the B12 and they avoid OU this year until a potential conference title game.

I'm saying that more because I think Kansas won't be very good after losing guys like Talib and not because I think Texas will be damn good.

That Texas offense has no big play weapons that I know of, and the defense on depth chart has a very young secondary. With those problems they could lose to anyone outside of Rice. I just don't think they will to Kansas.

Trust me I know, that's why I was messing with you. The Big East is an underrated conference. Well, the titans of the conference are, the rest blow. The SEC is the best conference in the land each year in football, and often in basketball.

But just to play along, who's won the last 3 NT's? :toast

I would love to see Kansas in the SEC. Bring them back down to earth playing hard nosed tough football EVERY week. There is no schedule harder than the SEC. Some schools in the Pac 10 wouldn't be shit either if they had to go through the SEC schedule.

But most people just roll their eyes and continue to be in denial.

Most predictions say each team on KU's B12 sched will be bowl eligible.

You can look at any of the B12 South teams and make the case of how tough the sched is. Aside from BU, there are no teams in the B12 South that shouldn't win at least 6 games. There are 3 teams from the B12 South in the Top 15. We have seen both uo and ttek picked to be title contenders. OSU and atm had the 2 toughest schedules in the nation last year. The B12 is the only other conf besides the SEC to have consensus predictions of 2 teams in the BCS and many say it will be 2 South teams.

I don't know of any way you can match up SEC and B12 scheds and not say that pound for pound they are just as tough.

Yea I am a really optimistic ND fan, I still have no clue what this team is going to be like, they were so young last year that I am in the dark. Their Schedule shaped up to be a pretty easy ,so if they are somewhat decent they could have a good season, just in time to get into a bowl game against a much better oppenent and get romped. they could also go 3-9. A lot depends on Clausen and on the defense continuing to turn around under Corwin Brown.

I will repost after their first game.

The really good stuff, now that he is going by Dr. Lou he can get anything he needs. At least I only said 9 wins and not 11 like Lou, that is fucking crazy. well so is my nine, but not as crazy as 11.

JGW, I can not really argue this with you, mainly because as I said in my post
"I have no clue what this team will look like." I will however make a bet that ND will get 6 wins or more. I will bet whatever you see fit, sig bet, bottle of crown, case of beer. whatever. let me know if you are in.

I am going off a hunch, you could very well be spot on with you 3-4 wins.

sure, we can make a bet. hows about drawing the line at 6.5? i don't like giving away whole numbers. 7 or more you win, 6 or less i win. as for stakes? meh, i'm more of a tequila, vodka, rum and beer man. that being said...$10 to $20 is fine.

Hell I'd get in on the 'under' side of that action all day and twice on Sundays. That being said, doesn't 6 wins still get ND a BCS bid?

ND could get a bowl bid with .5 wins if they'd allow it.

Wisconsin L
Illinois W (surprise win)
Toledo W
at Penn State L
Michigan State W
at Purdue L
at Minnesota W (toss up really)
Northwestern W (could lose)
at Ohio State L

6-5 on the season.

If everything breaks right for the Wolverines for the duration of the season, I can see maybe 8 wins, but it's unlikely. I really see anywhere from 5-7 wins realistically. I really doubt anything less than 5 though. But, with all the changes and the new system and the lack of stability or answers at the quarterback position, it's not out of the realm of possibility that they do worse than 5 wins, just improbable.

Rich Rod is a system coach. He doesn't teach as much as he implements a system and plugs the right guys into it. Unfortunately, he didn't recruits these guys and very few of them plug into his system correctly. Going to be a long year for the blue.

They are running two quarterbacks, based on what I saw, one of them is a good game manager and the other has a cannon arm with some questionable decision making.
