True. If he plays a lot of minutes though, Manu and Devin and Barry will treat Steve badly.

I think it's a good fit for him there...he can be a veteran leader and see a little bit of court time. His days of playing NBA-quality defense are over, though.

I feel confident that the Spurs won't let a player who is nothing more than a spot up shooter at this stage of his career to beat them.

He was never spectacular, but he probably played average defense for a player at his position for six to eight years. He only became really bad when his knees really started to stiffin up.
