It's amazing how often my little icon comes up for new hotfixes. I did them after New Years, and lo and behold, there were like 6 new security flaws at the beginning of this month. I think I will go Linux for my next OS.

Microsoft's main problem is that they are re-active instead of pro-active. They only respond to flaws discovered, instead of building time to test for flaws into their product development cycle. Being a software developer, I can tell you that this is called testing to make sure it works, instead of testing what might go wrong. One of my mentors when I started would make you bring up your screen, and he'd just randomly start pressing keys, funcition keys, etc. If anything broke, the program didn't pass. It's not a bad approach, since users will generally do almost anything when they are in your application.
