Somebody should've told them that you're supposed to emphasize the nickname, not the initials of the city.

Hopefully it's a fake.

They might as well just rename themselves the Cleveland Rockers if they're going to put this little effort into their franchise.

Y'know, it's amazing that alot of these T-shirts get printed up before hand. I wonder what happens to them after the team loses? Trashed? Or do they just wait a few years for people to forget they didn't win that year? :D

Thank god-- I haven't slept in weeks. Each night I stare up at the ceiling and my mind races like 15 interlocking rollercoasters full of riders who all scream in unison: "What will the Oklahoma basketball team be called?!"

Not sure about the NBA but the NFL sends it's t-shirts of the losing team to third world countries.

I've heard the same for the NBA. They always make shirts in advance for both possibilities, for the East and West Conference Finals and the Finals, so there's a bunch of shirts floating somewhere.

So I really don't give a shit about the logo. Just as long as the Spurs don't change theirs to some gay ass shit like this I will be ok!!::flag:lobt::lobt::lobt::lobt::lobt2::flag:

African Child Loves His 'World Champion Seahawks' T-Shirt (http://www.theonion.com/content/node/45304)

KAMPALA, UGANDA—10-year-old Akello Semesseke, wearing the new "World Champion Seattle Seahawks" T-shirt given to him Tuesday by an anonymous NFL-licensed promotions manufacturer, expressed his gratitude for the gift while admitting he was not familiar with the sport of American football. "The Seahawks must be as generous of heart as they are victorious on the field of whatever sport they play to share their clothing with us," said Semesseke, whose entire village was given one each of the teal and gray shirts, with one exception. "My father refused his new shirt," Semesseke explained, "because although he did need one, he felt it would be disrespectful to the World Champion Eagles, who kindly gave him both a shirt and cap last year." Semesseke added that if the Seahawks had included 80 cents a day along with the shirt, he could eat.

This is true. While in Djibouti I saw an uo Champ shirt from 2004 and a 2003 Yankees WS Champ shirt.

I bet there are a ton of 19-0 shirts being used for Kenyan diapers.

NFL donates Pats swag to impoverished children in Nicaragua

MANAGUA, Nicaragua -- The New England Patriots won the Super Bowl and ended the season with a perfect 19-0 record -- at least it looks that way in Nicaragua.

The NFL donated 290 Patriots hats and an equal number of team jerseys trumpeting the slogans "Super Bowl Champions, 19-0" to impoverished children from two small communities in southern Nicaragua.

Thursday's gifts could not change history -- the Patriots lost the Feb. 3 game to the New York Giants 17-14 -- but they made a lot of youngsters in the communities of San Gregorio and Buena Vista very happy, said Miriam Diaz, spokeswoman for the humanitarian organization World Vision, which arranged the donation with the NFL.

"They [Patriots] lost, but the children won," Diaz said.

The only "football" most of the children know is soccer, but they were very enthusiastic about the U.S. version of the game once the rules were explained to them, she said.

"They were very happy to receive the hats and jerseys," Diaz said. "They said they did not expect such a surprise."

Neither did the Patriots.
