Aside from the Ginobili situation, will it be sink or swim this upcoming season for one Ian Mahnimi?

it will have to be the big three health status in the playoffs

Yes, Pops will be forced to play him 15+mpg to limit the load on TD KT and Oberto. If he comes though it will be big for us. I think by mid season he sould be able to give us 20mpg and at least 6.5ppg 5rpg and a block or two. He will likely give us mins mostly at PF but I would like to see him on the floor with TD for 5-7 mpg just to see how they complement each other/

Unless we make a trade we have no where else to go so he will have to play.

i really hope mahinmi, mason, udoka, finley, hill, and tolliver step up big. my mind tells me that they'll all improve this season and make ginobili's absence look like nothing. but im just delusional atm.

I dont know about Ian sinking, but I know if he does sink, there is a good chance he takes the rest of the team with him. Timmy doesnt want to play the Suns, NO or the Lakers by himself again. I think the rest of the players will be fine. Unlike alot of Spurs Fan I believe our real chances of success are in Bruce's hands. Pop can slow the game down to a point no team can score much, but if Bruce isnt up to par. Just ask Timmy who sets the tone during games. Not Manu, not TP, and not even himself.

the thing is: bruce will be one year older... it might be too much for him now

He still raw, has a lot to learn and is a long way from being a consistent NBA player.

I hope he'll bring athletism and presence in the paint to free Tim up at times, but this will be his first season. So don't expect too much from him.

Anyway, the season doesn't depend on how he does. It would just be a +.

It will first depend on the big three health and then on what all the new guys (not just one) bring.
