Here is something else to ponder.

If SA wins tonight, this will be the only time in their history that they will have a .800 record this late in the year.

If they lose tonight, blowing this opportunity, they they will have to win the next 17 games to get back to .800.

So, they better win tonight, or they will realistically never achieve that .800 winning percentage this year.

Go Spurs!!!

If they blow it, I blame Tim.

If they blow it, I blame Tim.17 games? Eh? Try 5. If they win tonight, they're 40-10, .800. If they lose, then win 5 straight, they would be 44-11, .800.

oops, I had them with playing 40 games, not 50.

My bad. :angel

Still, they have never been at .800 this late in the year.

Still, they have never been at .800 this late in the year. That's because they've never been this good.

Unless the injury bug sticks around and intensifies, this team should finish a couple of games over .800.

Well, they'll just have win every game for the rest of the season. That way we don't have to depend on Jim's math.

I knew they were ripe for losing.

I could see it coming a mile away.

In fact I called this loss in the Rodeo roadtrip prediction contest.

It was NOT a math mistake!!
I figured the % on them playing 40 games right now instead of 50 games(innocent mistake) :oops

ummmmm...if they had lost and had only played 40 games...then their record would have been 39-1.

Now I'm REALLY confused...:wtf

No, I knew they would have had the 11th loss, but I had them playing 40 games, so I had them at 29 wins.......

oh nevermind.....I was at work and did not pay enough attention...

The point of my post was and is, they have never been at .800 this late in the year.....it was a golden opportunity for them to join the likes of the Lakers, Celtics and Bulls in the historical annals.

Wrong again. If they win their next 10 they will be at .800 exactly. :p

Well, if they had Rose, I would feel better about that as a possibility.

I think they have the ability to pick up some steam and rattle of 10-11 straight at one point this season, I'm still waiting for one like the winning streak we had last season, what was is 16 games?

1Parker1
02-28-2005, 07:30 PM
^^Yep, and into the playoff's too. But look how that streak ended, 4 straight losses.
