I have no idea which way i should face this painting every time I spin it around I see something different.
I normally wouldn't ask such a lame question but I am sending this into a local art contest in San Antonio and I would hate to lose because I did not ask questions.
Should I spin it around , or leave it?
Thank you for supporting art in San Antonio :)

Does it have to be submitted only one way? Can you make it a pair/set and show it both ways?
I think it's cool either way, and it does change when you spin it. If I had to pick one I'd go with the second one.

Definitely #2... #1 has kind of a sideways gross v@gin@ thing going.:lol
But #2 is a really cool painting turned that way. I love use of color and space.

They only allow so many submissions If I use both then i can't send in my other paintings. But I did try to call them.
Does anyone here take any classes art or otherwise?

I have the same problem. Some of my work looks totally different each time i spin it 180 degrees. The problem is where to sign the art work. most people will hang the painting where your name is right side up.
Most of my best art takes about 5 minutes to 30 minutes, it's the art you spend days on that come out sucking in my opinion.
Take a look how this one can be turned sideways and have a different effect.

You guys can be-little all you want but you should see the crap that is sold on line every day. I will post a link later of a lady who sells paintings from 400.00 to 2,400.00 and they look like something I did back in the 7th grade.
I went to a lady's house who lives blocks from the blue Star art gallery and she has tons of crap in her house. She has a railroad tie with a bird nest on one end that she paid lots of money for. I made an art print in about 4 minutes on the PC testing her notebook and she wanted to buy it. She asked me what gallery did I get it from
Some people have nothing better to do with their money.

Looks like you have found a richer art patron. Sell this one to 2blonde and put 2 more in the show.
