New York City is home to great basketball, and it's also home to the world's only NBA Store, a 35,000-square-foot, two-level basketball haven whose motto -- "One store, every team" -- gives you an idea of the wide range of team jerseys, hats, footwear, and tees they offer. A dramatic 170-foot-long, arena-styled circular ramp connects the first and second levels, and an authentic half-court shooting area with regulation-size basketball hoop and bleachers dominates the second floor.

For these reasons (and more), basketball fans know that their destination of choice is the NBA Store, which has become the ultimate hoops shopping experience since opening on September 18, 1998. "During the past 10 years, the NBA Store has showcased the world's most extensive array of basketball merchandise and served as a home for player appearances, special events, and even birthday parties and bar and bat mitzvahs," said Sal LaRocca, NBA Executive Vice President, Global Merchandising Group. "The Store is an extraordinary expression of the NBA to fans around the world."

And to celebrate its ten-year anniversary, the NBA Store is unveiling its ten most popular jerseys from the past decade, with Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant and Allan Iverson topping the list. LeBron James, Shaquille O'Neal, Tracy McGrady, Dwyane Wade, Jason Kidd, Vince Carter and Tim Duncan round out the list.

Beyond offering these keepsake jerseys, the NBA store stocks the world's most comprehensive collection of NBA, WNBA and NBA Development League merchandise, including authentic jerseys from adidas, an exclusive line of NBA-branded sportswear, Hardwood Classics Collection, adidas apparel and footwear, collectibles, photography, artwork, and products for all 30 NBA and 13 WNBA teams. The NBA Store also features a variety of exclusive products including personalized jerseys and a limited edition NBA 50 Greatest Players lithograph. If you're looking for something really special, check out their autographed jerseys and team banners; and for the fan who must have everything basketball, their backboard coffee table is a gift that won't soon be forgotten.

The NBA Store also brings fans up close to their idols with regular in-store appearances by some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment. NBA and WNBA player appearances have included Shaquille O'Neal and Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat, Tony Parker of the San Antonio Spurs and Sue Bird of the Seattle Storm. The NBA Store offers over 100 free, live events each year such as NBA Store Spring Jam, NBA and WNBA player appearances, NBA Cares events and live NBA TV tapings. A range of multimedia-driven attractions, including video games and an arena-sized Jumbotron video board (and other monitors throughout the store) showing exclusive footage, airs live game broadcasts and NBA TV.

The NBA Store is a major New York City attraction for visitors from all over the world, and NBA Store customers have included celebrities and athletes such as Spike Lee, Derek Jeter, Wayne Gretzky, Jay-Z, President Bill Clinton, Bill Murray, Snoop Dogg, Julianne Moore and Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and others. Over one million fans from over 200 countries visit the NBA Store each year.

Better yet, basketball fans of all ages can host a private, NBA-themed birthday party at the NBA Store, which comes complete with a "head coach" and a "sportscaster" to help guests celebrate, as well as a basketball birthday cake and personalized video that includes birthday wishes from NBA and WNBA players. Celebrities like Julianne Moore and Vanessa Williams have hosted birthday parties for their children at the NBA Store.
