Oklahoma State's Bryant secures Player of Week award
Each week during the season, readers can select their pick for USA TODAY's Player of the Week. Choices will be made available on Sunday night. The fan vote will comprise one-third of the award with one vote each also going to college football editor Erick Smith and Gannett columnist Mike Lopresti.
Oklahoma State wide receiver Dez Bryant scored four times in a win against Houston to capture this week's USA TODAY's Player of the Week honor. The sophomore had nine catches for 239 yards and scores of 39, 29 and 74 yards. He later added a 71-yard punt return for a touchdown as the Cowobys won 56-37. Bryant captured the award with the support of college football editor Erick Smith and Gannett News Service columnist Mike Lopresti.
