Shaq Numbers His Days In The NBA (http://www.cfnews13.com/Sports/CentralFloridaSportsReport/2008/9/10/shaq_numbers_his_days_in_the_nba.html)

ORLANDO -- In an exclusive interview, former Orlando Magic Center Shaquille O'Neal told News 13's Tiffany Greene Wednesday exactly how long it will be until he hangs up his high tops.

For some time, Shaq has hinted at retirement, but now has an exact number of days.

The 7-foot NBA legend, who now plays for the Phoenix Suns, but maintains a home in Central Florida, had a captive audience on Wednesday as he talked with the kids at the Pine Hills Boys and Girls Club.

He told Green that he intends to play out the remainder of his contract and then call it quits.

"My basketball career will be over in 735 days, and being an educated man, I've always had things to fall back on. So one of my options is law enforcement. But if Jerry Demings is going to be the sheriff I would love to work for him," O'Neal said.

O'Neal was once the top pick in the NBA Draft by the Magic, but he said his next life is in law enforcement.

Eh....basketball players don't enter the hall as a member of any team. Thats a baseball thing.

Isn't he suspended with the law enforcement thing?

I will be sad the day Shaq retires though, the NBA will miss the greatest center of his generation.

I can honestly say that I won't miss this guy one bit. Although he was a great player, his antics grew old quick. The NBA will be fine without him.

Yes, he lost his badge after the rap incident.

Shaq can play for another 735 days, considering he'll only be playing about 40 games a year.

He lost "special duty badges," but doesn't mean he can't go into law enforcement after he retires. He was a "special duty" officer when was in Miami and didn't lose that badge.

Shaq's gonna ask criminals how his ass tastes. Better yet, I hope they make work undercover. Imagine him with a bad mustache and dreadlocks meeting some drug kingpin somewhere in Florida.

Oh, my bad. I think football does it too though. It was kind of a controversy when Marcus Allen retired a Chief.

That's right seven-three-five days till the fat lady sings
So that will give me time for two more title rings
Plenty time left for more Kobe raps laced with obscenities
But in 48 days, Rappin' Shaq will reveal his true identity

Oh yeah motherfuckers, the day's coming soon and fast
Like Kobe's dick while he jacks it over a white girl's ass
No wait, it's the opposite he can't finish till she's gone
If clownin' Kobe is right, I ain't tryin to be wrong

Don't call me Coolio my rap career ain't as dead as his
I spit shit as nasty as Marv Albert's sex fetishes
Keep countin em down, mark your calendars today
See what happens next and yeah KOBE HOW MY ASS TASTE!

Fuck Shaq!

He gave the world a glimpse into his cartoon mind, yet again, with another one of his retaliatory raps on Kobe a few months back. As old as he is, you'd think he would've put that petty feud behind him. Not so, for the Big Immature.

As for his Miami *special duty*, wasn't that exposed as a rigged bust to make Snaq look like a hero? Yeah he will make a good corrupt cop. :toast

Then there was the couple whom they raided the house but the wrong one?
Snaq in Action. Coming to the silver screen soon.

Not your best work, Rappin' Shaq.

But, the Coolie-Marv Albert lines made up for the rest of the verse.

Still gold.

Hopefully, his aim is better than his free throws.

So which team will retire his jersey?

As much as I've hated him through most of his career, it will be a sad day for the NBA when a player of his caliber retires.

That's where I am too. I'm not a fan of the man, never have been. But I respect the player. And his bigger-than-life personality brought something to the game, I can appreciate that.

I remember the All Star game a couple of years back where Duncan and KG were talking about guarding Shaq, KG had the task. Duncan laughed as he said, "Let me know how that works out for you."

And, of course, it was Shaq that dubbed Duncan "The Big Fundamental."

LA and the Heat probably will seeing they retired MJ's number.

Shaq has been irrevelant the past couple years anyways and will be again next year. It's like he is already gone.

Should have retired after the refs/Wade won 06 title for him since that seems to gloss over the fact that Dampier basically outplayed him most of that series.

I can't understand Laker fans hating on Shaq when he's the reason they won 3 titles at the beginning of the decade. Laker fan is the ultimate fair-weather fan.

LOL! That fat piece of shit reminds me of Tommy Hearns who was a pretty good fighter in his days. He told Playboy before the Hagler fight that he was planning to retire shortly after and become a Hollywood actor. The only problem was that he was nearly impossible to comprehend even before Hagler knocked him out. And so Tommy continued to fight and get knocked out well into his 40's. Interestingly enough, it was The Marvelous One who ended up being a pretty successful action movie hero in Italy after his timely retirement. I predict that the fat piece of shit will end up in jail instead of wearing a badge.
