Pretend...

Your mom, dad, brother, sister, wife, husband, or whoever is your most significant loved one is drowning and so is a baby. You cannot save both and know you can only save one. Nobody else is around to save the other. Which one are you saving? Why??

I will be a dick to someone which ever route I choose so I will have to say this is something I can't answer unless I'm put into that position which will hopefully be never.

Also why is the baby alone? I would drown the parents when everything is said and done.

Is it just some random stranger's baby?

Why couldn't I save both? Am I missing any limbs?

However, since it's for pretend, I'll just use my magical powers and levitate them.

Now, if it's not this kind of pretend, then I don't want to play anymore.

Why exactly wouldn't you save both??

Um, it's for pretend. So you can't save both because both have seconds before they drown and only one can be saved. Geez dude. ^

mrsmaalox- yeah just a strangers baby

well, as pointless as this hypothetical scenario is, I'd still have to say I would save my loved one and I wouldn't think twice about it.

Pointless enough for you to post twice in it's thread. :)

all that proves is that I find myself with a lot of free time on hands lately. The thread remains pointless

my loved one

I agree, your loved one has more value to you. It sounds selfish, but in this scenario Altruism doesn't seem ideal.

Much like 90% of threads in the club. Anything else?

I would call Chuck Norris - and he would save us all.
When Chuck Norris falls in water, Chuck Norris doesn't get wet. Water gets Chuck Norris.

I would save neither, I would just watch.
