Is it good football or just stat stuffing to leave your big name players in during a blowout?

Agreed. But the coaches are risking potential injury to their star players.

I see the point, the risk of injury goes down the less you are on the field. However this never seemed to work all that well, it seems that when you play your players to not get injured they end up injured.
