This may be the shortest thread ever, but how can I make a link to something, but make the link read something else? my roommate rick roll'd me, and i want to get him back.

It depends on what kind of code youre using. Say for instance if you were using vB code, such as on Spurstalk, you would do something like...

[ URL="http://www.website.com" ] your text/fake link goes here [ /URL ]

(without all the spaces)

If you were doing HTML, it would look like this.

< A HREF="http://www.website.com" > your text/fake link goes here < /A >

(On this one, you will leave a space between the first A and HREF)

You'll have to hope he doesn't "hover" the link though....

<A HREF="http://www.bringvictory.com">www.fukung.net/legendarytrap/</A>

so, whats wrong with it?

Easiest way would probably be using Is.Gd or TinyURL

or

That's perfect if you're using HTML.

If you're trying to use the link in a message board such as this one, you'd need to use the vB code I gave you.

And if you don't understand code at all, unfortunately I probably won't be the one to explain it to you.

you need a link to a page that will redirect to a 3rd page.

What's ironic is that Sequ always starts long threads
