They need to take whatever specs this house was built to, and that needs to be the building code for all coastal structures (nationwide).

Wonder what it cost to build it to spec...

Wonder what it cost to build it to spec...Probably a hefty amount considering it's a photoshop.

Uhh... I don't think it's fake. They showed it on TV.

I call bs..it may be the coloring from the paticular photos we're seeing that make it look like a photoshop. I won't believe it until I see someone on TV standing in front of it.

It's not fake. I posted the aerial photos from Gilchrist in the Hurricane Ike thread and this is the only house you can see in the aerial shots.

Hmmm, couldn't tell the house was on stilts from that AHF link. That could explain why the shadows are going in a different direction than everything else in that first photo. Still kinda looks like the photo was touched up to brighten the colors on the house but it may in fact be real :wow

It's real, they even showed it on some of the flyovers the Houston TV stations were doing of Bolivar Peninsula.

They were even joking that the contractor should take that photo and put it on every flyer/poster/website/promotional avenue he has.

What threw me a bit was the way the ground was around the house, it didn't look like it was natural, it looked like the house was placed on top of the grass and what not.
