I didn't get that at all from this interview. I think he showed objectivity, insight, and fairness in his statements. He's extremely civil when discussing McCain and Palin, and prefers to talk specific policy rather than partisan politics. Obama should publicly offer Bill the position of head economic advisor for the remainder of his campaign, if for no other reason than to help voters compare and contrast the economic situation now with that of 1992-2000. In his memoirs, Greenspan acknowledged that Bill's passion and knowledge with regards to economics were far superior to GW's, and the comparison between them turns all stereotypical ideological titles on their heads-- Clinton was fiscally prudent and conservative, and obsessed with eliminating the deficit while Bush has been a free-spending president who seems to embrace the "deficits don't matter" philosophy.
