In the first half, 20 points in 15 minutes, 8-12 from the field, 2-3 from downtown. :smokin

Against the Hawks, but still.

Countdown to taruky in 4 . . . 3 . . . 2 . . .

HAWKS <--- That is the key word Shoog. I'd bet a month of v-Wages that when we sign Bill Buckner that he'll go for 20 in a half against Atlanta.

How does Hedo play against NBA teams, that is the question.

So Barry should've had 50 against the Hawks?

He went 1-7 in the second half (probably a lot of layups) and finished with 24.

:shootme

Hawks made a comeback and Magic only won by 5

when was the last time barry started? lay off barry man. i know he is struggling now, but the guy is trying. imagine how he feels coming to a championship contender and is expected to make every three pointer. when he gets comfy we will be iight.

Umm, Hedo didn't start, so there goes that argument. Second half he did miss a layup (LOL), but mostly the shots didn't fall. I really don't see this as a knock on Barry, because as someone said it's tough when you're considered a failure if you don't knock down threes (the presence of Duncan is supposed to be some sort of gold servinig tray). Funny thing is that Hedo is shooting threes about as well on Orlando as he did on the Spurs.

Hedo has had plenty of 20+ games this season, Hawks or no Hawks, so it's not like this game was an abberation.

Shooga, I don't start Hedo threads, just add to them. You make the invitation, I'm there.

I always loved Hedo! I miss having him here but am so happy that he is having so much success with his new team. He made the right move.
Also, Hedo leaving made room for Brent Barry who I think is a wonderful addition to my already fabulous team.

Give Barry the amount of time that Hedo's getting...Also, Give Barry the amount of shots Hedo is getting. Give Barry the chance to play with TD more often instead of Malik or Robert in the post. Have TP or Manu kick the ball out to Barry more than once a game, when he is standing there by himself 10 times a game. The guy gets 5 shots a game, if that...Thats not his fault, thats him not getting the ball. Barry shot over 50% from the 3-pt line and over 40% from the field in January. Give him 12 or 14 shots a game and he'd score 24 points a game as well.

If anyone is saying that Hedo is a better player than Barry just because he has had a couple of 20 point games then that is ridiculous and should never post another post on here again. It's not all about scoring but what the player brings to the team. You don't think that Barry would score also a couple of 20 point games if he had more playing time like Hedo. Come on. Hedo is a good player and just needed to be in the right system which is a non-defensive system. Cuz he can't play any D at all. At least he tried here in San Antonio. Barry is the better player because he brings a lot of tangibles to the Spurs from leadership to scoring to assists to defense you name it and Barry does it.

Finally someone who is sane...For all you idiots talking Hedo this and Hedo that...Hedo averages 7 more minutes a game than Barry and also takes 7 more shots a game...Do your homework before popping off about crap you don't know about. If you only look at points, points, points, than you don't know basketball. Like spur219 says, Barry would do the same, given the same conditions.

Hedo could play defense very well. That was one of his assets last season. His offense was erratic mainly due to his inability to finish at the basket and get to the FT line a bit more to compensate for all the 3pt attempts he took.

He like Barry, was a 3pt specialist for this team. Whether it was by design or not I am not sure, but Hedo really struggled scoring in the paint as a Spur. Not sure why, but he did.

I knew Hedo as an attacking type of guy who could also stick the 3. But his athleticism was pretty impressive for his size, and his aggressiveness. But he was not the same as a Spur, he became timid if he was not hitting his shot.

Maybe that would have changed if he came back this season, but we will never know. He seems to fit better in an offense that is more up-tempo and he can receive more shot attempts.

Kerr struggled for awhile when he got here to. Pop nor I think TP or Manu have figured out how to use a spot up 3pt specialist. When to hit him, when not to etc. Same thing they couldn't figure out with Hedo last year, and struggled with Kerr for awhile...
