Should've traded him for Tayshaun Prince, Maxiell, cap space and or draft pick.

another 1st rd exit. tsk.:nope

McGrady for Prince and Maxiell? On a team already devoid of scoring? Prince and Maxiell are both nice players, but they already have a 4 in Scola and a defensive three in Artest. The only move Houston needs to make is to pray for health and sanity.

At this point a T-Mac for Redd trade would be acceptable.

Did you even see Redd's Olympic performance? No thanks.

McGrady is perfect for the Rockets now that Artest is there. He can get rest on the bench. McGrady looked exhausted at the end of games last year. If this team stays healthy they can win the whole thing.

That trade would only make the Rockets worse. T-Mac for Redd? Well I guess I do have to consider the source.

What people need to understand is that t-mac can kill you outside of his scoring, excellent playmaker, only about 2-3 wings i would take over him including Kobe and Lebron.

Huston would not be the same team without T-Mac....

Tmacs minutes need to go down and they should with Artest there. I think he could be a very efficient scorer this season with opposing D's having to focus on Artest and Yao.

Yep. Fortunately for Houston, he ain't no Tayshaun Prince either. That's the sort of trade people propose after looking at too many rate statistics! Prince wouldn't be the primary scorer on many NCAA Division I teams.

who cares about scoring? they dont need much. yao is a career 20+ scorer. artest can give them 20+ as well. prince is a solid scorer at 15 ppg by the very least. shane battier can give them an additional 10ppg or they can trade him for a scorer. scola is up and coming and can easily become a 14 ppg scorer with more touches.

surround yao with more shooters. and more emphasis on defense.

look at this players

yao
maxiell
artest
battier
prince
dj strawberry
landry
scola

all these players are willing to bang and defend. they can beat anybody in the west.

salary doesnt match . rockets don't need these 2 players .

if Rip & chauncy for Tmac & Alston , the rockets probably will do it .

How bout no...now the only trade with Detroit that is acceptable is T-Mac and filler for Billups and Hamilton. Why would we want Prince when we have Artest AND Battier?????

TC is an idiot. We would not get an even exchange if we traded T-Mac. AND you forgot to mention the fact that his HUGE ass contract comes off the books in the summer of 2010 where the market is gonna be ridiculous.
