OKC Thunder notebook

Thunder officials are expected to unveil team uniforms next Monday at Media Day. Insiders say the road uniforms will be sky blue, the color of the state flag. Home uniforms will be white.

If Thunder is inscribed on home, white uniforms and road "Oklahoma City” uniforms are dark sky blue, like the state flag, the team logo becomes a minor topic. The uniforms Kevin Durant, Jeff Green, Nick Collison and their teammates wear on ESPN highlights are what the nation will see most, not the logo.

I found this tidbit at newsok.com

http://newsok.com/article/3298350?topten_check=yes

"An Oklahoma City mother was charged Monday with child neglect after neighbors found her 3-year-old son wandering around the parking lot of their apartment complex with beer in his bottle.

Rose Adame, 32, was so intoxicated she could not stand June 21 when police arrived at her apartment complex at 2149 SW 38, according to court papers. She still tried to grab the beer-filled baby bottle so she could continue drinking, court papers say."

I think she's been framed. How many three year-olds still drink from a bottle? Clearly, it was for Ms. Adame.

God Almighty do the Magic have to change their jerseys every other year? That franchise has gotta be run by women "Oh that look is so 2 years ago, time to get a new one!"

Those jerseys could have worked if they simply had "HOUSTON" or "ROCKETS" on the front instead of the whole logo. And putting the number back below the chest would also help that design too.

Well, looky there, Dwight Howard's head is so thick that the gravitational forces can bend pinstripes.

Yeah, I have to concur. Home is pretty boring, but I like that tarheel blue-ish look on the roads. Don't like the road nameplate though.

The whites are plain, but it's better than a total fuck up. The blue's are nice. I would wear Durant one.

I'd actually say same grades, but reversed. I like the lettering on the home jerseys, and if they put that same style on the road ones, then this would be the first thing that franchise has gotten right. But no, they fucked up yet again.

Really it's no so much that I hate the road lettering, it's just that they chose two different styles instead of keeping it consistent. Amateur at best, just like everything that franchise has done so far.

yeah, or maybe just go with OKC. the Suns "PHX" jerseys are a win, and they might have been able to do something similar.

Agreed. I really do like the color scheme on the road jersey, but they fucked it up with the nameplate. Even the uni number lettering is different.

I think so. Not that I would ever sell it, but imagine if Jordan played his rookie year for some team that packed up and moved to Chicago and renamed themselves the Bulls. I would imagine a St. Louis Whatevers Jordan #23 jersey would be worth a bit.

OKLA CITY would be better than OKLAHOMA CITY in the same way that PHILA is better than PHILADELPHIA. But I understand the mentality of a micro-market franchise like that selling to fans who are all proud of seeing their full city name on a real-live pro sports jersey.
