Essentially, the McSame campaign has insisted that the debate between Palin and Biden be changed in order to compensate for Palin's inadequacies as a debater.
My first reaction is, my G-d, how arrogant can the Republicans get? The rules of the debate should be change because your candidate sucks at the game?
My second reaction is, that's just pathetic. They're basically conceding that Palin sucks ass, and trying to hope the rest of the American public don't notice. LOL.

I'm sure she'll just robotically recite her talking points and "win" the debate with a couple of zingers. Fortunately VP debates don't decide anything.

As dubya was as a candidate, a disgusting Repug INSULT to America, Palin is exactly the same insult.
The Repug "philosophy" is hate and destruction of govt, so putting up any old shit candidate, unqualified, inexperienced, too ingorant (to hold her own in a debate) is just another insult to America.
I am a little surprised by the Repug throttling of the VP debate, because I was expecting pitbull bitch to at least tie if not beat Biden, using well-rehearsed/coached polemics rather than solid points, coupled with lots cloying, ingratiating "Joe this" and "Joe that" exactly as she did with many "Charlies" in the Gibson interview.
All style, fluff, superficiality, con-job, no substance.

well that's stupid for them doing that. they're just feeding the fire. it did say both sides were ok with it, so i guess it's cool. i'm sure many think otherwise.
it's also worth noting that obamessiah wanted to start with foreign policy for the <ahem>more important presidential debate instead of talking about the economy which i think is a pressing issue. will an uproar be started because of that?
we shall see.

All campaigns will attempt to shape the ground rules in a manner that they think favors their candidates, Obama's did similar.
You are quite correct in that the McSame/Palin campaign judges their gal to be weak on the facts though, as the changes demonstrate.
The good thing about this is that if she spends the whole thing bitching about the media and how stupid Democrats are, she will look like an ass, if Biden takes the high road, and the vast audience of independents watching will have futher proof that she is all hat and no cattle.

It's pathetic how LOW the bar is for Republican candidates.
All you need is a globe and a mouth and apparently you can become the Republican nominee.

I think they're trying to avoid one of those Lloyd Bentson v. Dan Quayle moments. But, we all remember the outcome of that election.
I'm kinda hoping Biden is really agressive and overly asshole-ish to Palin. It will backfire -- big time.

I think it's pretty obvious from my posts who I'm for, but I'm getting tired of this coddling. I wish they would just let her loose. The reason she is well liked in Alaska is because she is so personable, and that isn't coming through with them hiding her from the press all the time.

i wonder if she's telling the campaign that she wants to be left alone.

If Biden condescends to Palin in her debate, it will backfire immensely, as you noted. There will be no "I knew Liddy Dole, she was a friend of mine. You're not Liddy Dole" moment from Biden. Given the low expectations, all she has to do is recite her talking points, whether it bears any resemblance to what she's asked, and unleash a couple of "zingers" and she'll be fine. Nobody is swayed by the VP debate.

An intellectually honest McCain supporter. How refreshing. :tu
