I'll probably see this one out of curiosity, but (with the exception of Natural Born Killers) I really can't stand Oliver Stone as a filmmaker.

Nixon was surprisingly sympathetic. I can't see this story being too kind. Hopefully he just doesn't make a bunch of crap like he did in JFK.

I'll watch it and Ill cheer everytime it makes W look like a fucking fool. I don't even care anymore; I have quite a bit of hate in me for the idiot.

There's a Canadian film called Death of a President you oughta check out. Blockbuster has it.

Either Oliver Stone hits his mark or misses big time with me. I'd love for this film to be a hit, that's Josh Brolin right? But I'm afraid it may be too much too soon, everything about W is still a bit too familiar. We need to let the memory dull a bit. I liked "Nixon" but probably because I didn't have much personal experience with that whole deal. Same with "Any Given Sunday"; I don't like football and I can't stand Jamie Foxx, but I really enjoyed the film. I'll probably see "W".

platoon and the doors are classics. stone cowrote the script for conan the barbarian. if anyone is qualified to make a movie about W., it certainly is stone. after all, they were classmates at yale. ill see it at the alamo drafthouse in austin.
