This bailout stinks. What is the big rush to throw money at a VERY COMPLEX problem?
I've spent more time solving far less complex problems at my work. I don't know why people are in such a rush to write a big ass check.
From what I've heard/read, the bail out is equivalent to $2500 for every man, womand, and child in the US. I've already lost 20K in my 401k, so haven't I already paid my fair share?

If the Federal government was actually going to mail out $2500 checks to everyone in the U.S., you'd have a point.
Instead, the money's going to the banks and pseudo-banks that your 401k has shares in.

I'm aware of that. I just think people should stop and analyze the situation a bit longer before writing a fat check -- a check that you and I will pay for.

By my count the only ones that are in a big hurry are Paulson, Bernacke, Bush, and 2centsworth.

The problem is it won't solve the problem. We still need to have a correction (recession) to flush all the bad shit out of our economy. All this bailout does is kick that can down the road.
It's the equivalent of paying the minimum on your credit card that's maxed out. Yeah, you paid a little bit off but you've still got a shit load of debt to deal with.
