What is up with Houston players and injuries?

Battier Sidelined Up to Four Weeks
Houston Rockets forward Shane Battier is expected to miss the majority of the team’s preseason schedule
due to inflammation in his left foot. The inflammation occurred during his rehabilitation from offseason
surgery to remove bone spurs which was performed on May 9. The seven-year veteran is expected to be
sidelined for up to four weeks.

big deal, hes a veteran. Itll give them a good idea to look at training camp fodder.

Don't jinx them...we all know how fragile the Rockets (certain players) can be

Battier doesn't get hurt in April. That's Yao's and T-Mac's job.

Pretty precautionary if you ask me.......what's the point in trotting a proven vet out there for camp if he isn't a 100%?

Everybody knows what Battier can do, he'll be ready to play this season.....if it was the regular season he'd probably just gut through it like he did last year.

Last year Shane was hobbling around on a sore foot b/c we didn't have the depth we have now. We are + Dorsey and Artest at 3-5 positions. This means Shane won't have to always guard the opposing team's best player and he can get rested on the way to the playoffs. This is just related to healing from bone spur removal procedure and completely precautionary and not a new injury.
